Great Pizza, strange story....
The pizza was great. During our meal the owner's wife came to the table SNOCKERED and made a pass at my friend (female). I can't say what she said (I'm sure it wouldn't pass the review guidelines). We weren't offended; it was just unusual. A couple of the locals saw this and told us that she is a drug counselor of some sort in Denver, but when she comes to Alamosa she is known for this type of thing. Like I say; would recommend. Great pizza and the most interesting dining experience ever!
Okay where do I begin. Let's start off by walking in the door, we ordered calzones on the phone, the lady taking the order had gotten it wrong last week and this week she almost made the same mistake. Which she would of if I didn't specifically ask her about it. Okay so I walk into the restraunt well after the 20 minutes they had told me, I'm waiting and I was the first person to be in line but yet the girl waiting on me, waited on everyone but me. A guy had to tell the waitress that I was there first. The calzones weren't ready, while waiting in line another man had walked in and had said he ordered his "TAKE AND BAKE" at 430, he went in and they did not have it ready so he went and ran errands and came back 45 minutes later and yet he is waiting in line, the waitress came out and said that his pizza STILL isn't ready, mind u, it's a TAKE AND BAKE. The waitress finally brings out our calzones but yet she forgot the pizza rolls. When she told me to wait, her breath wreaked of alcohol. We than take the calzones home and one of the calZones is still really, really doughy. I don't even feel safe eating there again. Poor service and the boss seems very mean... obviously not mean enough for his staff to be that slow. The boss I seen another time I went made a big scene yelling at his workers in front of customers. I won't be going back again.
This pizza place had a fantastic feeling to it. This is a great family place and is a good place to have a birthday party or meeting. The staff was helpful and friendly, the place was well organized and clean, and the food was to die for! Best pizza I have ever had!
Very good pizza, we had the Mt Blanco. If you are very brave, try the El Diablo spiced wings. Could ony eat 5 outa 6---smokin hot!!!! I would come to eat here again.
Their Pizza is the best in the Valley no body has near the quality of pizza that SLV pizza has. They are a tad pricy but you get what you pay for I always spend a little more because their pizza is the best I'm hooked and would reccomend their pizza to everyone they will not dissapoint.
I first tried this pizza through their traveling pizza truck, dear lord, best ever! Fresh home made crust and sauce! The toppings were all fresh and this pizza came loaded! The full Monte is an array of all things you would want on a pizza, meats and veggies, extra cheesey! Our favorite is the Haiwaiin pizza. Nothing but good things to say, friendly staff as well!
