Very poorly run business. I took my husband's sport coat in and pointed out a small spot, not quite as big as a pencil eraser to be pretreated. When I retrieved the jacket, I did not examine the jacket before taking it home. Big mistake. A few days later when my husband took the plastic off the jacket, there was a large stain below the one that was to be treated, which was also still there. The new "stain" appears to be from bleach, the damaged area measuring 5" x 2".When I took the jacket back to the cleaner and showed it to the clerk, I was told the owner would call me. A week later, (Thursday or Friday) no call so I went back and was told I'd get a call "no later than Monday. A week later, still no call. I went back to the dry cleaner and was told by a humiliated and embarrassed clerk that the owner had told her that the jacket was "brought in that way". This was ridiculous considering that 1.) the clerk telling me this was the same one to whom I had originally given the garment on the day I took it in to be cleaned. Had the jacket already been damaged with a huge bleach stain, she'd have seen it when I showed her the small one that was the reason for taking it to be cleaned in the first place; 2.)the owner didn't see the garment when I took it in. He simply accused me of taking in a damaged garment with an intention of accusing the cleaners of ruining it.
The owner of this business is spineless not only not taking responsibility for a mistake but lying to cover it up and hiding behind the women who work for him whom he is having do his dirty work. Shame on you.
I took my clothes to Payless Cleaners and when I went to pick them up. The rude customer service representative told me they were not there. She indicated I should check back and they should be able to locate them. There was no explanation about what happened to the clothes or anything. She shrugged she shoulders as though she was not concerned and apparently, she was not.
I came back to put additional clothes in and requested my clothes. She again, told me they did not have any paper work indicating my clothes were there and I needed to have my slip, because without it she would not know where to look.
I came back to pick up the new set of items with the slip, and the clerk said my clothes were not there and I don't know what to tell you. She indicated she would call here manager and have him/her call me back. No one ever called.
I called her again and she checked her intake log and told me they were logged in, however, they were not there. She never tried to share with me where my clothes were. She indicated again, she would call her supervisor and have the supervisor call me back. I never heard from anyone.
I called again, the clerk indicated she was busy with customers and asked me to hold on. She laid the phone down for 30 minutes, which was as long as I was willing to wait. She talked to her co-worker about car repairs, she talked to a customer about me (negatively), because they carried on a conversation while I was waiting on the line.
These clerks are extremely rude. They won't tell me what happened to my clothes, or offer to pay for them, or even refund me for the cleaning bill.
This happened to me before and I was kind and let it go. I understand mistakes happen. Although they offered no explanation that time either. This time I want my clothes or compensation for them.
This place has a sign that says ANYTHING $2.97 to dry clean, yet when I brought 3 articles of clothing in, they decided they wanted to charge me $14.00 an item. If you're going to limit "anything", then you need to remove the word "ANYTHING" on your sign and state EXACTLY what you WILL cover for $2.97. FALSE ADVERTISING and HORRIBLE rude customer service. In a market like this, it might be wise to try and keep your customers...I'm just sayin...
We took a large, expensive tablecloth to Payless Cleaners on April 18, and were told it would be ready for pickup on April 23. After stopping by a couple times after that date and being told it wasn't ready yet, the situation seemed a little weird.
On April 30, my wife called them asking where the tablecloth was and why it wasn't ready. She was told someone would call her back. Nobody did. She called back on May 1 and demanded to know what was going on. She was again told someone would call back. Nobody did. I called on May 2 once again demanding to know what was going on, only to learn that the item was lost. I was told by the person on the phone that she would have to talk to the owner and call us back. However, this time I assured her that if I didn’t hear anything back I’d be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
Well, apparently those were the magic words, because less than an hour after that call they magically found the tablecloth. So it took me threatening them with the BBB for them to even look for it, and when they did they found it immediately. Frustrating.
Now I understand things can get lost sometimes, but the larger issue is the employees we spoke with were amazingly rude and unapologetic about the situation, in addition to not returning any of our phone calls. At no point in any of our interactions with them did anyone ever apologize to us for their error, and they actually acted put out that we were bothering them about it. And when we finally picked it up we were told that we were lucky they found it. It was seriously the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!
If you need dry cleaning services in the Firestone Park area, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
