Bought an 07 Mazda 3 from Doug Justus, a day after getting it home the check engine light came on, they refused to repair it under the 30 day warranty.
Test drove a Jeep in May of 2016, during 10 minute test drive the Jeep threw a rod. Test drove another Jeep and was assured if anything happened to it that it would be repaired. Purchased the Jeep, got it home and a day or 2 later the check engine light came on, a week later started went out, a few months later the timing chain broke also had leaking trans lines. I purchased the aftermarket warranty and the warranty has covered a total of 800 dollars out of the over 3 grand i have put into this Jeep now.
Sales Manager will not return calls, have left over 12 messages for him to return my call over the course of several months. He is never available and will never return your calls.
I bought a car there last weekend and 3 days later the check engine light came on. I need a new catalytic converter. They told me they didnt clear the codes before but i dont believe it for a minute. Give me a break, what are the odds? They also dont cover that sort of thing under warranty either. Not an honest dealership!
bought a Honda CRV from this junkyard last year. During my recent inspection, I was told that the 4 wheel drive differential had been removed and so the vehicle is now only 2 wheel drive instead of 4 wheel drive. I bought the vehicle specifically for the 4 wheel drive. There is no way the dealership didn't know that. In addition, there was a rats nest in the engine so these people aren't even checking these vehicles out and the air conditioner didn't work. It was cold when we bought it so we couldn't tell then that it didn't work.
Every car we drove, except for this one, had the check engine lights on.
A friend's coworker recommended DJAC; I knew going in that most cars are sold as-is or with a 30-day warranty on the engine and transmission, so I'd be on my own if any issues came up. It's too soon to tell if the '08 Versa I bought will have any, but I was very pleased with the low-pressure sales environment and the overall look of the lot. I was basically left alone to look over their inventory at my own pace before test driving, although the staff seemed more than happy to help others who came in looking for guidance.
I came on a very busy Saturday, so the actual sale was a little slower than I'd hoped, but everyone I met was very cordial, and they even offered to recharge my AC at no cost, which I'm sure is nothing to them but saves me the inconvenience of doing it myself!
Go in knowing they won't deliberately try to pawn off a lemon on a buyer, but you'll be on your own for repairs unless you opt in to their service plan, which was a little pricey for me.
I came to Doug Justus Auto Center while I was in college because the car I was driving at the time was in terrible shape and was completely unreliable. Where most places may have tried to talk me into somethig I couldn't afford and turn my chitty chitty bang bang away for trade-in, Doug did the opposite. He got me into a 1999 Mazda Protege that was perfectly priced for my broke college kid budget and the entire time I drove it the only work I had to get done was the regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotation, etc. Buying a used car anywhere is obviously a risk, heck even brand new cars are a risk! But this place is not just a used car dealership, it's like a family. They are truly great people and to this day I reccomend them to everyone I know.
Bought a car for $8000 & 30 days later the transmission stopped working. Everyone on the staff kept giving us the run around and not calling us back as promised. I then contacted them on fb and the very next morning they called back said they would do nothing and removed their facebook page. THEIR IS NOTHING just about this dealership. They are shady dealers and I would not recommended going there.
