- Dr. Paul WY Kurihara became a Chiropractor because when he was seven, he started getting migraine headaches that were incapacitating at times; he remember having excruciating pain on the right side of his head pounding behind his right eye. Medical doctors told his mom that it was growing pains and that he would grow out of it. He never grew out of it, but he did learn how to manage it with sleep, ice and aspirin when it got really bad.At age 14 he hurt his neck doing squats. The bar rolled onto his neck area and it felt a pop. He did not have pain at first but after he finished working out he started to have a headache and felt numbness down his arm. Several days went by and the migraine got worst, burning pain going down his right and left arm and his neck pain increased. He went to a medical doctor, orthopedic doctor and then a neurologist. They all gave him medication and said it would go away. Two months later he was still suffering, and then they said nothing was wrong and referred him to a psychiatrist. His mom said thanks, but no thanks, we will find a better doctor. The next time he went to a doctor they were in a chiropractic office looking at his x-rays. He said theres your problem and took care of it. As a 14 year old he then realized that medical doctors didnt know everything or have all the answers.From that time on he loved Chiropractics because it gave him hope and saved his life. Provided by Doctor.comI have been having lower back pain for quite some time now. my coworker recommended me to see Dr. Paul Kurihara. so far I've seen him for a total of 12 total adjustments, once a week. i'm feeling 80 percent better since then and hoping to be 100 percent at the end of my session with Chiropractic Family Health Center. I've been feeling lower back pain here and there but over all the treatment been helping me. It has been a great experience and I am glad that I came here to get my treatment.

Dr Kurihara and staff really listen to the issues I was having and they took care of me. I feel a lot better than before and I would highly recommend Dr Kurihara and the staff to my friends and family.

Provided by Doctor.comI came in with extreme pain in lower back, shooting pain down my left leg and difficulty sitting. In the first 3 visits, the pain reduced more then 50 percent. I took a vacation and missed treatments for a week. Pain returned. I am now on my 12th adjustment and PAIN FREE!1 Mahalo to Dr. Paul.

The relief from that constant suffering is priceless. I look forward to increasing spinal alignments as more improvements develop. Thank you Dr. Kurihara.

The staff are also very friendly and always accommodating when I have to change my appointment last minute. The staff is also very welcoming and greet each and every person that walks through the day making the office a very warm place.
