I fill a monthly prescription here when I visit my parents down South. The first time I filled it, no problem at all. Because it was a script from out of state, they called the doctor themselves and confirmed it.The second time, 2 months later? A new employee claims new laws in Georgia render my prescription invalid, because the practice doctor hasn't signed it, only my doctor has (*nothing has changed law or prescription-wise in the last 2 months*).This time, they are "not legally allowed to call the doctor" (um, what? the PHARMACY can't call DOCTORS? Lol, c'mon, lie better—they literally have a number on the answering machine specifically for pharmacies trying to get in touch with the doctors, for god's sake), and I need to request a new prescription from my Chicago doctor to be sent to Wal-Mart. She then mentions another prescription I use but have never filled out of Illinois, saying the pharmacist misread it last time and thought she was filling that prescription, instead of this prescription, which is a different class of drugs. WHAT?! Red flag #12. She misread the prescription and filled it correctly but according to the wrong regulations? WTF is going on here? Then, after claiming the prescription is not valid according to the pharmacist, she says I can pick it up and have it filled elsewhere (but...if it's not valid, you don't give prescriptions back lol. Not valid means you can't just take it elsewhere for it to work). This is a shining example of what's wrong with our healthcare system though. Doctors prescribe medicine that pharmacies then regulate. If my doctor says I need something, the pharmacies should fill it. End of story. It's pretty messed up that now the middle man is deciding how and when I receive the medication my doctor says i need.
This Pharmacy has the best service and kindest employees you will find anywhere. They are friendly, helpful and efficient. I have called for a refill and by the time I drive there to shop I get a text that it is ready.
This is the worst pharmacy ever. We only use them because we are required to use them by the assisted living facility that our parent lives in. When they cut pills it is often done inaccurately. The billing department refuses to send me an email copy of our bill which they say is unpaid. The billing person is extremely rude. I could go on and on. Don't use this pharmacy unless you literally have no other choice!
Great Place! Much more helpful than the “big box stores”. Renee Really cares about you and your health! I send all my friends and family here because I trust they will give the best possible advice.
I do alot of business with this WalGreens and overall they really are a great pharmacy that genuinely cares about their patients/customers. I recently was in there and was short over a dollar and the Pharmacist had a community change jar and with that and his own change he pulled from his own pocket, helped me get my heart medicine. I have NEVER had a bad experience in this Walgreens. 5 stars ★★★★★ for excellent customer service and going above and beyond their call of duty.
