Dental Examination
Every dental visit involves a thorough dental exam. Our pediatric dentists examine your child’s teeth and gums for signs of cavities or gum disease. X-rays may be recommended. Our staff will discuss their oral health with you in greater detail after every exam.

Teeth Cleaning
Your child’s first dental visit should occur before the age of one, according to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Visiting our pediatric dentists and establishing good oral health early is essential to prevent tooth decay, even if your child only has a few teeth. We estimate that most children are ready for their first dental cleaning at around three years old.
Fluoride Treatment
During the cleaning, we’ll use an electric toothbrush to reach areas regular brushing and flossing may not reach. A suction straw is used to remove excess liquid from your child’s mouth. After their cleaning, we may recommend a fluoride treatment to help prevent tooth decay.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a simple but excellent method of preventative dental care to keep tooth decay and cavities at bay. A dental sealant forms a protective shield around your child’s tooth enamel to keep out unwanted plaque and food debris.
Space Maintainers
Orthodontics is the specialized branch of dentistry involving crooked or misaligned teeth and bites. From braces to space maintainers, there are many orthodontic options available to help correct your child or teen’s smile. A space maintainer is a custom-built metal or acrylic appliance used to help their permanent teeth erupt properly once their baby teeth have been lost. Oral surgery can sound scary, but with the qualified team at Children’s Dental Center, it doesn’t have to be. Our team can perform oral surgeries on both children and adults, providing gentle, reassuring care throughout the entire surgery process. We understand that this process can make some patients, especially children, nervous, but we’re here to put your mind at ease and ensure the operation goes smoothly. For most procedures, we use local anesthesia to numb the teeth and gums, but we also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and IV sedation. No matter which anesthetic option we choose to use, it is administered and monitored carefully to ensure the patient responds well.
