Refuses to put trash cans back where they were placed and insists on placing a bin on each side of my driveway, limiting my space to backup in my driveway and blocks my mailbox. I reported this at least three times which has apparently upset them. My neighbors trash cans are replaced correctly. Next time, I'll cancel service and request a refund for the remainder of the term. Beware of prices....they employ a rate increase every few months. Started at $ I'm at $65.

Misses at least one pickup per quarter. Doesn't return emails.

Basically, really crappy service.

They did not pick up empty trash can (discontinued service) on promised date and unhelpful customer service when I called for solution to this problem.

Liars and stealers! The previous owner had American disposal service. When I moved I got Republic services and they dropped my new bin near my house. But American Republic took the previous owners bins and a few weeks later stole my Republic services trash and recycle bins and when I called up to get it back they are giving me all stories and lying right on my face. Don't ever entertain American Disposal services at any time.

We've had American since they started service in our area off Blackwell and have gotten great service. They are on time and put our cans and our neighbors cans back where they were originally placed. If they drop any trash, they pick it up. My wife even saw them pick up a dead squirrel and toss in the truck last week. Our can got broke once and was replaced with one phone call. Not sure why there's such a difference in services.

Had my 1st encounter at the start of the New Year. Set my trash out 8am on pick up day. I always hear any trash truck when they come to pick up so I know without a doubt I didn't miss any trash trucks in my area.So my trash was not picked up on Monday the day after New Years, so I thought maybe they didn't operate. I spoke with customer service and their response was a lot of customers didn't have their trash out that morning and they start pick up at 7am. Since this company took over from Cycle Works they never showed up before 10am. I had to remove my trash, my neighbor who's up before the crack of dawn saw me moving my trash to only say to me that my company may have not ran yesterday (Monday), I should wait. I told him I had spoke with customer service already. He said that the other trash companies in the area came late in the afternoon. Lot of us uses different services. Needless to say that I'm in process of terminating their services, no do overs.

Use ANY other service. They will offer you a low rate to start and then begin raising the price every 3 months. There service is horrible they do not even bother to pull the carts back onto your property they just leave them in the road and we have very narrow streets In Our neighborhood so it causes problems on trash day . Not to mention it makes it look trashy. They just do not care enough to provide a quality service.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had service with them for 2 years. Service was terrible throughout. We recently cancelled and are now going through a local company that we love, and they are saying 3 months later that out bins were never picked up. HELLO YOU PICKED THEM UP. They are criminals and trying to rob people every way they can.

Horrible service. Requested a transfer of service to my new address. Was told that they do service my area, only to learn a week and a half later that they don't. So, waste has been piling up at the house, and I could have avoided further delay in service. Then, when speaking with one of their Agents, she states they tried to call me a couple of times, but my voicemail isn't set up, and was talking over me as if I did something wrong. Well, my voicemail is freaking set up, and that's beside the point. American Disposal should have been able to determine right away whether or not they service my new address--not a week and a half later!!! Just horrible! Now I have a pile up of trash that is beginning to smell and I have to wait another week for pick up from another provider. I am awaiting a call from the Service Manager. We'll see if this happens. I will escalate. Stop lying to consumers! Ridiculous.

This is even worse customer service than ANY cable company ever thought about! When I reached out several times to get my trash picked up after they missed 1 of 2 or both cans - no results. Called everyday for 4 days and still no results - no apology, no trash pickup. DO NOT make the mistake of signing with these people. I escalated to a manager and still no results. I was paying for recycling service and their "waste management engineers" would throw it all in the regular trash truck. Asked, for new cans after the "engineers" ruined mine - told me to have the cans empty on the same day as pickup or they could not replace and they couldn't say when they would be emptied. They make TRASH pickup a miserable experience.

It is actually a 0! Two weeks in a row after multiple calls last week and they picked up trash and left recycling to stand in the yard for days while we called and called. Now they have done the same thing this week. Criminal in my view. Garbage & Rubbish Removal Contractors? No, just garbage and rubbish. Worst service I have ever experienced. Will spread the word.

They are the Comcast of trash service. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Do not do business with this company. If you can pick ANYONE else, do it. It's been nothing but trouble with them. They kept raising our rates, they would pick up at all sorts of time of day (and sometimes not at all, I had to call them multiple times because they missed our street and didn't pick up at all) THEN when we finally canceled the service, they had already taken the money out of our checking account for 3 more months. When we requested a refund for services we aren't getting, we were told it would take 6 to 8 business WEEKs to issue a refund! Are you kidding me?? They are super quick to take the money out, but they expect us to wait months for a refund on money that doesn't belong to them!?! Worst company ever. They need to be put out of business.

Does not pickup as scheduled. When notified they missed my pickup they don't care, their response- wait for the next pickup. I will be changing service. This has happened for the last time.

They don't pick up and then tell you they can't come until next week. Twice they have taken our recycling containers and disposed of them WITH the recycling. Time to switch.

Just switched from American Disposal to Freedom Disposal. American' pickup service was fair, but customer no service was horrible and hostile.

American just raised their pickup fee to 23 per month, while Freedom charges only 15. That's almost 100 per year difference. To quote an old New Zealand sheep farmer's adage, "You can fleece a lamb many times, but you can only skin it once."

I definitely would NOT recommend this company, I sold my house and called in to cancel service, months later I get another quarterly bill, I write/call to ask why when I canceled it back in June. I then get a new bill with the credit for the time after I sold the house but with a charge for the bin they abandoned back in June. Having moved to another state I have no idea what they did or did not do with ther bin ( it's 4 months later at this point.). I write pointing out that they have already refunded the quarter & it's their responsibility to pick up the bin when service is canceled and if they abandoned it. Now I get another bill with a random charge of $100, this is for an address they have not served in over 5 months. They blew it back in June when they didn't update their billing system and pick up the bin, now they are trying to bill me for their problems and tacking on fake charges not tied to the bin or any service.

Trash has not been picked up in 2 weeks. I was told to leave my can out and they would get it. instead I get another fine from my HOA for having my can out, No Truck. I Set it out on a off day as the representative said they would send a truck... AGAIN no truck, just another fine.

When my very old and beat up trash bin started to break I called and they said they would pick it up and replace it with a new one in two weeks. They said it must be empty and the ONLY day they could pick it up would be the day before my trash gets picked up. So I stockpiled my trash so as to make sure the bin was empty to be picked up. I received 3 automated phone calls confirming that they would be picking up the bin on that specific day. I placed the bin out the night before and that next day came and went and my bin was still there. I called to ask them and they said that they knew they would not be coming out to get it but forgot to call. They said "Sorry" and nothing more. I asked if they could do anything for my inconvenience and they fell back to "it's policy" and said that all I get is a spoken "Sorry. I asked if they could drop off the replacement bin so I would not have to stockpile my trash for another week and they said "No, it is against out policy!" I wasn't even asking for money back, nothing but a little effort on their side. But this is the mentality of the people they have working at this horrible service. Even with the price increases they had I was fine with that. They could have given just a little (by dropping off a bin so I would not be without one for a second week) and I would have been a happy customer, but instead I'll never do business with them again. I believe most good ratings this coming gets would be from them.

I just fired this company! We have had service for almost a year, and in that year they have missed up at least 15 times! The last straw was being skipped again and then the broke the can and refused to replace it! Gave us a hard time about the no pick up. Told them to come pick up our cans, you are fired. The guy that picked up complained that there was stuff in them. Plus they were way overcharging - just called a competitor and they are charging us $30 less! So there American Disposal! I will let everyone I know how bad you are!

Looks like I am in the same boat as some of the reviewers below. This is the second week in a row that the recycle truck has skipped pick up. I don't know if we can wait another week as it is getting piled up on our driveway.

You can't even leave a phone message after hours! The message on the phone says they are on 4th of July holiday - geez, at least change your message.
