Buyer Beware. I made the mistake of not getting an estimate first for the issue with my toilet.



Problem: Toilet had a leak



The Plumber and his father came to my house. I asked the The Plumber what he was going to charge when he came to the house. He was evasive. .



Resolution: Plumber fixed the problem. It took him about an hour (maybe a little longer)



Invoice Description: Removed first floor toilet from floor flange (sp?). Furnished and installed a heavy duty seal, brass floor bolts, shims, water connector, flame and refill valve. Reset toilet in new seal and checked for leaks.

Price=$427



I did a little research on my own and believe that I was overcharged by well over $200 based on the parts and labor from comparing other experiences on the net.



Did not dispute charge because his father and my wife were in the place and did not need the extra headache. However, I feel as if I was way overcharged for a fairly simple problem. Like I said buyer beware.

John was able to check out our water leak that day. He did not charge us a service call fee. He fixed the problem

quickly that day. His fee was very reasonable. He gave us honest suggestions to wait on replacing faucets and the

hot water heater until necessary. We will definitely call John McParland for all future plumbing needs.
