I'm in town for a conference and drove 20 minutes to Julie's and they were closed a full 15-20 minutes early! Not cool. I might go back again during my trip but not sure.
Even your anti GF family and friends will LOVE Julie's cupcakes. Vegan donuts are to die for; careful, could be habit forming :)
I love Julie's Gluten Free Bakery and what I love about it the most, having to eat gluten free is a tough job, but at Julie's there is nothing but gluten free, it doesn't have non gluten free stuff like the other bakery's, there is no cross contamination of gluten to non gluten. Her stuff is delish and it might be a little spendie, but what isn't spendie when it comes to gluten free, you ever priced the flying apron products, wow went to buy one at whole foods last week and it was $6.00 for a cinnamon roll and it's not fresh right from the oven like Julie's is. It could of sat in that wrap for over a month. I am a regular customer at Julie's I have to have special orders made for myself cause of food allergies and they have no problem making them for me. The people that work there are so nice and when you walk thru the door they welcome you with open arms and a big smile. And did I mention how cute the bakery actually is... Keep up the good work crew and I'll see you tomorrow for my special order of coconut topped donuts...
The quality of the cupcakes has really gone down since they have opened while the prices have gotten higher. Also choosing random days when to put nuts in the cupcakes isnt very smart. Wont be going back again, I recommend going to Great Harvest Bread Co. because they have better quality gluteen free products at a cheaper price!
The new "peanut free" Peanut Butter Cup cupcake is divine!! I purchased it for my son but wasn't really willing to share with him. It was so good! Julie is using Sunbutter instead of peanut butter. She has perfected it! I am still craving another! Thanks Julie for making your cupcakes accessible for the whole family. We will be back!!
Julie’s (Gluten-Free) Bakery made my niece’s wedding cake. Not only was it the best gluten free cake I've ever had, it was just about THE BEST CAKE I've ever had. I had no idea Spice cake could be so delicious. The butter cream frosting was perfect. Firm and not too sweet. The cake was very moist and flavorful. Thank you Julie’s Bakery. Nobody believed me when I mentioned it was gluten free. Congratulations to Julie for your marvelous baked goods. I will be sharing your information with all my friends.
Maybe it is a good thing that the bakery is not closer to Olympia...I would go all the time! The shop is very cute...and all the cupcakes look picture perfect. Quite the assortment!Having a dedicated gluten-free bakery is amazing...plus the fact that they have several vegan options is even more amazing!Everything I have tasted so far has been really good. Cupcakes have good texture (really important in gf baking)...and the icing is quite tasty. But I have to say that so far, the vegan peanut butter cookies put me over the top!And Julie is willing to work with customers and make what they want for future visits. There just might be a carrot cake (or carrot cake cupcakes in my future!)
The gluten free cupcakes, cookies, and eclairs are AMAZING! If I wasnt told the baked goods at this bakery were gluten free, I would never know. They even have vegan treats! I highly reccommend visiting this place even if you dont have special dietary needs!
