we realy liked the sweet and sour chicken
By far, my worst restaurant experience ever. We were meeting up with some family friends, and planning on the Habit. They suggested we all try Lone Star for the first time insted. When we arrived, they promptly took our order, which was great, but they don't have pickles for the burgers (making it clear their deep fried pickles are frozen), nor did they have their "homemade" chips available as a side. We settled, and sat down. We were a party of 9, and could not all sit together as the booths are all one sided, or fit for 3. Then we waited....And waited...About 25 minutes later, half of us got our drinks. 10 minutes after, they come and tell us they're out of root beer (what everyone else had ordered), and requested we order something else. HALF of us got our burgers and fries after 45 minutes of being there, and the place was nowhere near busy (there were maybe 3 other families in there that already had their food). Our onion rings and sweet potato fries were badly burnt, and the steak fries were incredibly dry. My burger was mediocre. It completely fell apart after my first bite, and it was something I could have easily made at home. It was NOT worth the $7. They ended up bringing over some fried pickles to apologize for the wait, and those were delicious, but I would never pay full price (3.95?) for them, as there were only 3 pickles. That's more than a dollar per pickle! About 15 minutes after the pickles came, the other half of the burgers were delivered, but we had already finished with our food before everyone else got theirs. Our waitress/counter girl came back over to the table to apologize for the wait, and said the owner offered us sundaes on the house. Instead, we requested our money back, as we had very little kids that needed to get home and in bed. Between the 2 families, we had spent around $100, and had been there for 2 hours. We were fed up, and had missed our movie. We explained that for the amount of money we had spent, we had been expecting a little more. The waitress said she would go talk to the owner, and came back with $20 for the two families to split. That broke it down to about $10 a person, for mediocre food. NOT worth it. As we were getting ready to leave, a different waitress came out with another order of sweet potato fries, on the house, that weren't burnt. But it was 10 at night and we needed to leave. All in all, I won't be going back. The service was awful, there were no fresh condiments, they ran out of straws, they were out of root beer, and there were no utensils. The fries and onion rings were burnt and dry, and the owner (cook?) never found it necessary to come out herself and apologize. Yes, she did continuously offer us free food, but it was so gross we didn't even want it.
