I dropped off a dress and two pairs of jeans for alterations. They weren't going to give me a price at time of drop off (something I've never heard of before) so I asked for an estimate. I was told by the woman who pinned the dress that she couldn't say exactly but probably around $30. She said she would call me if it came out to be more. At pick up, I was charged $40 for the alterations to the dress. I said I was told I'd get a call if it was more than $30. The same woman said she didn't know who would say that, because it's always $20 for he hem and $20 to take it in (so why wasn't I told a price at drop off?). Then she told the cashier to ask another employee about it later, as if it was his fault. Their hours are more convenient than any other place in town and it seems they did a good job although I have yet to try on the clothes, but that was extremely poor customer service and I likely won't go back if I don't know what I'm going to be charged until after service is rendered.
