On October 30, 2015, I was making a quick trip from Houston to Dripping Springs for a dear friend's father's funeral then back home to Victoria. I left Houston at 5:30 a.m. and was travelling through Austin when a thunderstorm hit the area! It was about 8:30 a.m. and I pulled off of 35 and took refuge at a Whataburger. Before I could exit my car, the wind pushed it so hard, I started being scared! The assistant mgr let me in the door and then all power went out. I stayed at this store over 4 hours and missed the funeral. During the entire time Tim Moon (mgr) and his awesome staff took wonderful care of all the patrons. It was extremely scary and I was calling or messaging my family, just in case the situation worsened. The entire restaurant staff kept trying to assist any of the patrons in any way they could! The wind and rain got to be over 90 mph! I have videos of the happenings! And with all the power off and security systems in other buildings blaring, plus police and fire trucks sirens wailing. . . it was wonderful to have such caring staff at this Whataburger! I wanted to make this KNOWN to everyone associated with the Whataburger family--Tim Moon and the group at 801 E William Cannon #300 in Austin, TX are phenomenal! Rhonda_griffin@hughes.net
1. Burger King
This restaurant struggled many years ago with short-term managers, worn decor and flooding parking lot. The last couple of years it has had one manager, undergone complete renovation and is up-to-standard for the chain. I would recommend it.

This place has consistently bad service and filthy dining areas. The mostly Hispanic crew would rather text on their phones or talk about the customers in Spanish. Laughing and chatting to each other. The ketchup dispenser always has a pool of solidified ketchup under the spout, and the drink di…

Burger King is horrible. The last time I went my whopper smelled like a nasty sweaty sock, I couldn't tell at first but by the second bite I was about I almost got sick. One of those things where it doesn't make sense until you swallow the first time and then you know something is wrong. I pulle…

Terrible customer service.... The person working drive through at 5:30ish should be lucky they're getting one star and that's only because I have to give a star. I suggest someone should retrain her in how to communicate with customers! Can't wait for my location to finish remodeling cause I def…
This place was brand new and so a couple of co-workers and I decided to give it a shot. Absolutely worst THE worst experience and biggest waste of time ever! Not once but several times. I know what you're thinking... we actually didn't "eat" there several times we just attempted to.…
Our absolute favorite Chinese restaurant with consistently fresh ingredients and always great flavors! (Wonton soup the best with no canned broth taste) Always efficient service (dine-in or take-out). Only complaints -- they don't serve brown rice and the restaurant needs updated interior design…
26. Texas Rib Kings
Hey, I've lived in austin all my life and I've tried every BBQ in town, Texas Rib Kings is hands down the best in austin. There sauce is the greatest and brisket and sausage to die for I've seen a few other reviews saying the brisket is dry, don't listen to them go check this place out. You can…
Normally, you don't expect much from dining in a food court. The usual boring chains such as Subway are easily found. I decided to try this eatery and was pleasantly surprised. Even the tea was delicious. I had a Gyro, a terrific salad, and a drink for around $5. What a deal and it was truly goo…

I finally had a P. Terry's veggie burger last weekend and completely fell in love. First of all, a fast food place with a concern for health? Loving it! Second of all, a fast food place with an option for those of us who don't want meat or don't eat meat; amazing! They have beef, chicken, veggie burgers, cheese burgers, and amazing fries. You can get whole wheat buns, and you can add tons of fixins to make your meal even more delicious. Because the food is actually real meat and vegetables, and fresh, the meals are more expensive than normal fast food, but it's worth it. The combos cost at the max about $6.50, but the meals are filling and don't make you feel as guilty as you would if you ordered off the dollar menu from the McDonald's down the street. They also have gigantic dog treats for your dogs; we had 3 dogs in the car, one who is a very picky eater, and they split the treat and ate every last bit. I hope more of these pop up around Texas!
The staff here is so nice! They are very servant oriented and like to bring the food to your table. They come around often to refill beverages and offer to pick up your trash - so helpful for me b/c I have 2 small children! They also do a lot of family friendly events - often once a week! My son loves their kids meals and especially loves their indoor playground. My food has always been fresh and hot, and I like that I can choose sides for my kids besides fries. We frequent this location!
I never thought I'd give a fast food chain a 5 star review, but their service is impeccable. I've been to this location several times, so it's not just a fluke. Their manners are so amazing I've asked to speak to the manager several times to praise employees. I've even wanted to tip them, but as far as I've been told, they aren't allowed to take tips.Food is hot and fresh. Can't get any better for a chain.
Best Whataburger I have ever been to. The quality of food here is so good and the service is AMAZING! Seriously this is the best group of workers I have ever encountered. They even were so kind to make me breakfast still Ben though I was a few minutes after it ended all just to make me happy! That is amazing service! I will def go to of my way to come to this location from now on!
Whataburger is one of my favorite fast food places in Texas. I eat there almost every week and I get the same thing, A number 3 with avocado and fajita veggies with a large drink and large fries. I know my opinion isn't greatly shared across other people but I would recommend this place to EVERYONE!
I visited the store less than one hour before it closed this evening. There was a delightful lady there named Renee who was extremely pleasant and cheerful in spite of the fact that I'm sure she has had a very long day. I will go back everytime I am in Austin because she made my visit so pleasant
I eat at Chipotle all the time and love the food; this location is no exception. I wanted to leave this one a review, however, to call out Quentin, one of the employees there. He's super helpful, takes initiative, and is relentlessly positive. Really appreciate his hard work and awesome attitude.
One of my favorite burger places in Austin. I love the freshly crinkle cut fries and pickles. The crinkle cut is thin, so the fries still have a nice crisp to them. They have a simple menu, and I've never had a bad burger there. Milkshakes and fresh lemonade are delicious. Very family friendly!
I just this minute had the most refreshing experience at this Whataburger location. Very attentive and thoughtful. I don't know if this is a new service initiative...but I loved it. If it wasn't corporate driven, then everyone at this location on this shift needs a raise!!! :)
