My child has benefited greatly because of good teachers, and director who is focused on the quality of the center. Very pleased - my child graduates next week from Pre-K program and I saw the tremendous growth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
My husband and I absolutely love this school! We made a great decision by sending our son to Giant Steps! My son looks forward to going to school everyday! We enjoy seeing all the hands-on learning he gets in the classroom. The BEST preschool in San Antonio, NOT daycare!
We have been here almost 3 years. Our son has grown from shy to confident. He has learned how to read and is now beginning to write and he is only 4. Additionally, when we have parent lesson nights, he loves to show us new things he has learned in class, whether it is a new song, the letters of the alphabet, his numbers, or that he is now learning Spanish. He constantly refers to his classmates as "friends" and looks forward to seeing them every day.All of his teachers are involved with growing the children and it feels more like a family than just a regular school. Ms. Rosemary, his current teacher, has been teaching for more than 30 years, is a published author, and her love for teaching and children is evident. Ms. Inez, his first teacher, has been teaching for more than 10 years, is always laughing and smiling and the children respond to her. The Director, Ms. Lage, has over 35 years of experience and is wonderful. She has a daily presence at the school and is committed to ensuring that Pinnacle exceeds parents expectations. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to see their child grow in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment.A very satisfied parent (Eric)
As a Childcare in San Antonio, we supported the Pre-K for SA initiative that provides free child care options to parents who typically cannot afford it. We do so because we know that children who have the opportunity to attend preschool education, academically do much better than those with no early learning. We will continue to help our community as the opportunity presents itself. Also we would like to thank the Stone Ridge HOA and community for being great neighbors and partners over the years! All parents on CCS/CCDS are welcome to apply.
The best child care center in San Antonio! Truly the best value - excellent teachers, curriculum, over sized classrooms and the largest outdoor play area in the 78247 location. I highly recommend taking a tour!
This is a nice school but it's very expensive. Our son got in trouble on numerous occasions and we requested video evidence to proof the allegations. Not one time did they provide evidence even after us trying to contact the owner on multiple occasions. We feel like our son got picked on by the staff. Now he is enrolled at a new daycare and hasn't gotten in trouble one time. We highly recommend not taking your kids to this awful place. How hard is it for someone to show video feed or even get a call back from the owner? This place is way understaffed son was always getting hurt. At times there was 1 person watching 14 kids.
PLEASE DO NOT take you child to New Horizons. My infant son was here for only four hours on two days. The second day I picked him up with huge purple bruises on his leg. My son can not yet crawl or walk and couldn't have sustained these injuries any way on his own. I have gotten no answers from the staff nor the director. They all say they don't know what happened. A baby does not get bruised without someone knowing what happened. Please take your children to a safe place. I wouldn't want you to be the next parent to bring home a child with injuries or worse. Safety is a number one concern with children and it is not being number one at New Horizons. Children are precious gifts and should be treated with the utmost care. New Horizons is not the place you want to trust your babies life with.
This is a great community--from Pre-Primary to Upper-Elementary. The teachers are great, the staff is accessible, and the programs are top-notch.
In the past six years, I've seen my two children blossom in their own individual ways at MSSA. By choosing work that is meaningful to them in an environment that encourages respect and independence, my Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary children have developed skills that continually impress us. They are engaged and interested - not just at school, but in life. Their teachers have kept them inspired and challenged. We feel lucky to have found MSSA and although the tuition is a sacrifice for our family, it is worth every penny!
