Everything's I come to Galveston I search for the best food on the island. Well I am here to tell you I have found it. I have all of the chain/tourist restaurants, yuck and predictably so! The restaurants with all of the gorgeous views, inevitably have the worst food. Well when you are in Ga…

From Business: Opened in January 1998 by Jorge and Antonio Oyervides and a friend, Frank Diaz, Salsas Mexican & Seafood Restaurant is their first restaurant, though the three have been in the restaurant business for more than 24 years. Salsas is located at 4604 Seawall Boulevard - and features plenty of parking, a breathtaking Gulf view …
Mexican Restaurants are becoming a dime a dozen, and I feel this one stands out among them all. We were there in April of 2005. The staff was friendly, the food was out of this world, and I feel the price was just right. The Chipole Shrimp appetizer was incredibly delicious. They have the…
I was a regular at La Estacion for years..I love their flour tortillas and hot coffee early in the mornings..Until one day I saw a small roach on the wall..I let it go..The next time I went I asked for coffee and saw roach feet in my coffee..That really grossed me out. So I ask the waitress for …
Ordered ocampo special $7.50 which means $11.98 plus a tip. Meat was just like SHOE STRING LEATHER. Told waitress and she just giggled. NEVER AGAIN. Before went in for a breakfast burrito and the bacon was so hard I thought I'd break a tooth. Get a COOK! !!!!
Horrible food and horrible serviceWhen I sent the food back it was clear the ladies were talking about me. Very disappointing. Only positive thing is they took my undercooked food off the bill.
TERRIBLE!!! I have been ordering their chiplote chicken to go for the past 3 months and they are just totally incapable of getting an order correct. The times I have dine in, the same story, the older waiter that appears to be in charge and a younger waiter not only have the worst attitude but they don't even take the time to listen to the person placing the order. I kept coming back because the food is good, but I can no longer deal with how disrespectful they are.
The food was ok... the service sucks! we got seated and finally the waiter acknowledges us... Ordered menudo waited at least 30 more minutes for our food...
I loved the service made you feel like family and the was wonderful small restaurant big hearts
Excellent food!! Homemade flour AND corn tortillas!!!I was very impressed!!
Nice little place. A little off the beaten path, but good food, good prices, good lunch specials. Will even make specials orders for you.
Everything's I come to Galveston I search for the best food on the island. Well I am here to tell you I have found it. I have all of the chain/tourist restaurants, yuck and predictably so! The restaurants with all of the gorgeous views, inevitably have the worst food. Well when you are in Galveston and that monster in your stomach cries out. You know the one, the starving demon that can only be fed with Mexican food. Well do yourself a favor and look no further. What it lacks in the way of a view, it spends on pampering you with the good stuff.
Margaritas and beer at happy hour 2 bucks!
I would have given it 5 stars, but they quit serving carne guisada. They have chosen to cheapen their food quality. You can't order a breakfast burrito with more than 2 toppings and they are quite small.
