I have been coming to "El ran"...(as my friends and I like to call it) for as long as I can remember. They have the best food, prices, environment, and service. It's a family owned restaurant and the waiters, hostess, managers etc. make you feel at home like part of the family. It's the hot spot around town and everytime i'm there it's packed. Expect btw a 20-30 min wait on the weekend cuz it's so busy but believe me it's well worth the wait. You won't regret it! Whoever comes here and doesn't love it.... Is purely an Idiot!!! There's another restaurant close by "La parilla" but it doesn't come close. Not the real thing. It's a knock off version of "el ran" Plus the service is horrible!!! Thank god for El Ranchero!!!!
Pros: I'm a big fan of Mexican food have gone to La Parilla many many times over the years. The first couple of years my family and I were blown away by the quality of food. The last few times we have gone, the portions seems to have gotten smaller, and the quality has not been as good. The place is clean, and the staff very pleasant which is a plus Cons: Any time you order alcohol at a restaurant you're going to pay more for it, that's obvious. But when I ordered a pitcher of the LaParilla Margarita; I must have over looked the cost. When we got the bill, I was shocked to see it was $30 bucks. Beware
Grand opening was today, so I expected things to be a little rough and they were. Service was well intentioned but a bit unorganized and frankly I wouldn't have bothered to review if the food wasn't surprisingly good. Stop by, if for nothing else than the chips and salsa (although the Bloody Mary was pretty good-even sans celery stalk). "Greatest food ever is Mexican and Irish" (said no one ever) but the taco salad chicken was pulled and marinated, the fish tacos were awesome and the chicken salad really good. Sides were yummy. Hope this gets a chance to stick.
A wonderful new resturant is now open in Woodsstock. The name is Papa P's. only open for a week they look as though the have been at it for years. Everyone works great together, the service excellent and the food...well the food is simply out of this world good. A blend of Mexican and Irish, although not common, is executed perfectly! Stop by and give them a try. You will not regret it!
Took mom and daughter sunday night and they had live music that was great and the food is so fresh and prepared beautifully. I had the chicken milanese which was excellent and mom and daughter had fried fish tacos, guacamole and enchiladas and wild salmon...everything was excellent and the staff is so eager to serve.
Really delicious food! Love the atmosphere and the location. The staff sometimes lack charm and tact as you often overhear them talking about customers. Overall a good experience and worth the money you spend.
Right now, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Nice variety on the menu, and everything I've tried has been great. Portions are well above average. Servers are usually on top of things too.
My wife and I have been to Ia Parrilla on 4 occasions and have found the atmosphere, service, quality and price to be exceptional. It is definately our favorite Mexican food resturant!!!
We have gone here for years. Love the friendly servers and the wonderful food! Very competitive prices. Our kids are grown now and it's one of their favorite places still!
All Moe's have great food. This location also has a friendly staff. I enjoy going to this location frequently with my family.
