This is the place you should go if you want to grab a quick lunch, but want to be fancy about it. Muss & Turner's offers an amazing selection of sammies that would put those mass-chain restaurants to shame. Whether you want poultry, seafood, beef, or vegetarian, they have something for every taste. I had the Tuscan Raider--grilled chicken, prosciutto, melty mozzarella cheese, on fresh bread--along with a new (crispy) pickle. I also tried the delicious Caesar salad, and Brown Thrasher cocktail (because that's how I do lunch every now and then). Although it was packed with a busy lunch crowd, it did not take away from the experience. I'd totally recommend it if you're in the area.
If you have an infinite love for fried chicken and waffles like I do, then South City Kitchen is the place to grab them both. The chicken is to die for seriously. Super juicy, crunchy breading and properly seasoned so you can enjoy the flavor with every bite. And the waffle is light and fluffy. This is my favorite brunch menu item. Oh and the friend chicken and collard greens is my favorite dinner item. The service is impressive which wins me over every time.
Can't say enough good things about Muss & Turners. We live pretty close so we come here pretty often, but they change the menu seasonally so there's always something new to try. The service is great and super friendly; they make you feel like you are part of the M&T family. They're passionate about what they do and always have fun events like wine tasting on Tuesday and Sunday lobster rolls. Try the burger it's amazing, one of the best in Atlanta!
My last four visits now makes me never want to go back. Since the management changed, service is terrible, management not caring, food sub standard of the rest of the chain. The salad bar used to be well stocked but my last two visits even worse, no plates, stock was low and not fresh. Notice to franchise owners : You have work to do in Atlanta. With the way things are going, your reputation is being seriously damaged.
Great family place, particularly on Tuesday Family Nights! They show a family-friendly movie on the big screen and have a kids buffet. They also have discounts on bottles of wine. It’s fun to go with other families and enjoy a relaxing evening out—dinner, movie, fun with family and friends. The food is great—they have good sandwiches, filling entrée salads, etc.
My husband and frequent this restaurant. The location and parking are easy to access. I love that they are a 24 hour location. Their food is your typical diner food. I love local mom and pop restaurants. This does not disappoint. The prices are great. You can get a plate of food including biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes for under 7.00.
Varner’s is great for kids’ night! Kids eat free every Friday and they often have a balloon man. Varner’s recently released a new menu which includes bar food favorites but also more salads. They also rotate in monthly specials that are always interesting. Varner’s is a fun, local place, especially on Kids’ Night.
Out of this world fried chicken, collards & mashed potatoes! It's not "regular" fried chicken...I read they soak it so it is super juicy! I think it's outstading! They are expensive..but worth it! The atmosphere is inviting! The staff is super duper friendly...what you'd expect from the South!
“Delicious”I love the food here. It is a unique twist on Southern food. I highly recommend reviewing the menu to make sure it appeals to everyone first though. My favorite dish is the Southern Fried chicken and I love the fried green tomatoes. Try the boiled peanuts! They are delicious too!
Great sandwiches. If you go, try to sit in the back; it’s like a secret speakeasy. Great atmosphere for a relaxing lunch or evening cocktails. The salads are great and so are the sandwiches. Don’t forget to grab dessert in the front on your way out. The cookies are delish!
