I want to know what "tiny" means. I agree, they should have been proactive and told their potential customer they need 24 hour notice. However, having worked in the restaurant business, I know a lot of customers assume things should be a certain way and don't ask enough questions. I know I've called and asked how much it would cost to cater a meal at a restaurant and decided against using that restaruant. Did this reviewer mention the day before when they were asking prices that they were actually planning on ordering food? Probably a good idea if you want to have food for 14 people. Most people don't realize what it takes to prepare the right amount of food for a day without wasting food and also ensuring food is fresh. Also, most people don't take into consideration what it takes to actually make a living in a restaurant. Sure, the cost for the ingredients to make those lasagnas wasn't nearly $70; but, rent, employee wages, insurance, health care, etc. are quite exspensive, as I'm sure we all know.
Tried their pizza for the first time and it was delicious!! Reminded me of this place from my childhood. Not New York style or takeout style so if you are expecting that taste you will be disappointed. However if you have ever eaten at an old pizza establishment from 50's-70's this will be an excellent choice. Do all pizza's have to taste the same? Where is the fun in that? Sauce is sweet and crust is different but it is not frozen (as I saw it accused of it is just different!! I loved it and so did my family!! You should try it for yourself. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because I like a variety of dressing on my salad and this place only offers house Italian (it was simple but the salad was still good enough though) I
This pizza place is one of the best I've ever been to! It is as close as you can get to the pizza I've had up North. The service is also terrific. I ate in with a friend and the food came out not long after we ordered. The young lady serving tables gave us everything we needed. Didn't have to ask for a thing. This is a family owned business. Very nice people. I would recommend going here if you are wanting to find a good pizza place! My friend tried their Philly Steak sub and says it was one of the best he's ever had. They have a Facebook page where you can look at their menu. Just look up "Tony O's Pizza Family Restaurant." They do not deliver but you can call in your order or eat in.
I visisted your restaurant on a Saturday while traveling on vacation. I want to compliment an employee, Ms. Celi for her outstanding and exceptional service. She had many things going on and taking orders from intoxicated customers. Her demeanor was always pleasant, warm and with a smile. I must also state, her GRITS reminded me of my mother's home cooking. I can not understand how customers were so rude to her, making comments that were not acceptable to me as a woman. She maintained her cool, KUDOs to her. Your restaurant should be very proud to have her as an employee. If it had not been for her continued kindness my guest and I would have left. Please give her our thanks!!!!
This is a really great resturant to try. Wedged into the VIsta area of downtown Columbia, this place appears to stay packed. There food is wonderful. I usually get the side Greek salad and tossed pretzels for an appetizer. This is a great meal and more than a plenty to cover one meal. The worst aspect of this resturant is the business. Unfortunately to eat here, you can not be in a hurry. For some reason, it always takes a good while for the food to be served. It might be an over-involved cooking process that slows progress, but it is def worth the wait.Esp great for high school and college age adults.
My family enjoy's this place. Not a lot of ambiance to eat in - although not terrible - but the pizza is well above average. We have also had the calzones and find them tasty. We wish they had a wider delivery area and would be willing to pay a little extra to have them deliver to our area (Forest Acres) but since they don't and they are a 15 minute ride each way we find that we don't get take out from them as much as we would like. When we do, however, we always enjoy our order.
This italian/pizza restaurant is one of Columbia's best kept secrets. I would recommend it to all. The service, food and portions are all excellent. It amazes me how so few no about this establishment. Their prices are Fantastic. You get a lot for your buck here and the quality, well lets just say my mouth is watering for more right now while I am writing this. If you have the opportunity GO GO GO.
I have been lunching at Tony's for as long as I have worked downtown which is about 25 years, the salads are always crisp and fresh the sandwichs are delicious and healthy. The baked spaghetti and lasagne are to die for. The service there is excellent so I am in and out quickly during my lunch break. I have not eaten breakfast there yet but I hear from co workers that is is great too.
My dad started bringing me to LaBrasca's since I could eat pizza. I have lived all over the East Coast and have tried all different kinds of pizza but nothing ever compared to this pizza. Every time I'm in Columbia I run straight to LaBrasca's for a taste of my childhood and I love it just as much now as I did then! Love the cheese salads too!!!
I came here all the time,,they alway friendly and ask what you want before they do service..everytime i came i saw them deal with customer pay credit card or debit or check they alway ask for ID....to make sure customer not use someone else card.
