Buddy's House

From an outsiders point of view; Buddy's house brings a real visual eyesore to the neighborhood. Roger & Buddy's House claim that they will be the best neighbors on the street, "Quiet, no trashy cars, and well kept yards". This has not been the case for several years. Our neighborhood children have all heard the sober living residents arguing, talking about all sorts of inappropriate & rude things to each other or while on the phone. We've heard conversations about pee tests, old drug stories, & we've even learned about what "spice" is & how Buddy's House can't or don't test for it. Even several houses away, you can consider yourself a smoker as most residents smoke outside all day long. These cigarette butts end up concentrated in the street gutters of all nearby residents. The vehicles that have been parked in front of the houses over the years have all contributed to the ever increasing oil stain on the road & in their driveways. This all ends up in our waterways and as a local, this is annoying. Our rivers are also an asset to this community. It seems like way too many people crammed into the houses chosen for the sober living facilities: several families (moms, dads, children) single people. This is probably the reason the dumpsters that are left outside are overflowing 80% of the time. Not a great sight. Some residents are polite & friendly, others just stare, & most just keep to their own little world. Not everyone is perfect, but these houses definitely stand out from the rest. It almost appears as if the owners of the business are more concerned about the revenue streams made by cramming as many people as they can into such small places and less concerned about their sobriety. The locations that were chosen are houses designed for single families, not a small community. If they really cared, they wouldn't put so many people in such tight quarters. Maybe a hotel is a better option.

This is a great place to rekindle your life, or the life of a loved one. I would highly recommend Buddy's House to anybody suffering from the disease of drug and alcohol addiction.
