Wandered into this shop by accident, we had actually been looking for Black Heart Tattoo but quickly gave up on them because of a negative experience over the phone. The shop owner was incredibly friendly and kind, and the people and atmosphere reminded me of my friends back home in Canada. Small talk didn't feel forced and it all felt super relaxed. The piercing hurt like a bitch, but it healed very quickly and is straight (septum). He pierced through my soft tissue instead of the cartilage which I very much appreciate. I couldn't be happier with my piercing. One of the things that I really appreciated is that I am a big person and both the owner and the apprentice treated me.. normally. I even expressed concerns about the seat he wanted me to sit on and he just made me feel comfortable and assured me it was fine. A small act of kindness but for these reasons and more, I will be a repeat customer and have already referred a few people to their shop. Thank you Freedom Ink!
Artistic Dermagraphics is by far the best tattoo facility in the area, and anyone will agree. It is family owned and operated, it's big, clean, reputable, and just overall much better. Of all my many tattoos, the ones I received here have the best color, and still look new... my oldest being 19 years. Sometimes they are pricey, but it is worth it. I have been other places and received good work, but whenever someone asks where to go, I always recommend these guys. Like a sign in their store says... " A good tattoo ain't cheap, and a cheap tattoo ain't good."
Joe has done 8 of my 12 tattoos (only because I went to him after I had the other ones prior to meeting him). He pays attention to detail and is a true artist. I've recommend him to my friends and all of them have been very happy with the results. So as far as questioning his ability and talent: he's the only one I will let put a tattoo gun to my skin.
