Had the opportunity to have dinner there the other day with my Fiance' and I. We had our first date here back in 2006 when it was owned by Eat N' Park. Once we heard it opened back up we figured we would go give it a try and relive our first date. They have a lot to choose on the menu. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and a bowl of vegetable soup. She had bowl of vegetable soup and steak salad. My chicken had a lemon pepper seasoning and fries were good. The soup that both my fiance and I had was thick and it seemed like it had a lot of ginger added to it. Both of us didn't really care for the soup. Her steak salad was okay but the steak was overcook and no seasoning added to it. Though instead of fries added to a traditional steak salad they added like a egg roll breading which was really good. This building sat vacant since 2007 and it looks exactly the same as it did back then. The facility I thought over all seemed dirty and it needs a thorough cleaning. Overall I would give Oldies but Goodies Diner another try.

I can't understand these negative reviews. My husband and I have eaten here several times and we have always been very pleased with the food and the service. Very clean and friendly. The reviewer that said this restaurant was overpriced must be very cheap. I don't think there is anything on the menu over $12. and you get a TON of food. As far as the server not knowing the menu; well, I'm sure they are new. And the person who made the comment about the person at the register speaking broken English; well, that was just rude. These reviewers would probably rather go to a crappy chain restaurant like Denny's or Olive Garden. This is why local businesses fail. No one wants to give them a chance. I don't think it's necessary to go so far as to discourage others from trying this restaurant. Oh, and to the reviewer who complained about the noise....It is a diner. They play great oldies music!
My friend Patty and her family work there and I asked her if the pierogies were as good as I remember they were many years ago in the eighties. She says why don't you come and try them again... so I did 2 weeks ago. I bought two potato pierogies, 2 sweet cabbage and 2 prune. I shared them with my whole family....not only did they love them but this week we have 5 people ordering 16 doz. of pierogies from Teenies Tavern! The service is excellent the pierogies are excellent! The atmosphere is a little dark..... It's a bar on South Avenue what do you expect! Eat your food at home like we do it's delicious!
