I’ve had Shelly in my ‘support network’ for at least 7 years. I’ve worn my hair longer, permed, curly, tinted, short, and natural. I learned that you can trust her advice on when to touch-up, trim, color, start over, etc. When I started letting her take care of my hair on a regular basis, I also had to get comfortable with receiving compliments from strangers -women and men, and people from other ethnic groups! This used to be a VERY new experience for me; I’m okay with it now. To give her ‘props’, I’d follow each compliment with, “Thank you! I see a professional, now; I call her Dr. Lynch! ” While you are under the dryer, expect to see people of middle school age on up with ALL kinds of hair be transformed into princesses, goddesses, and yes, gods. Shelly and Gail are truly gifted hair styling specialists; they know all the styles and give good advice. Gail and Shelly have worked side by side for 11 years, long before I came into the picture. Shelly used to manage Upscale, but she has finally opened her own shop with two nail stylists on Churchill in Liberty almost across from the library. She doesn’t tolerate negative gossip or unsupervised children. Enjoy the Wi-Fi, snacks, magazine, and music. Or, if you’re like me, bring earplugs and do your homework or read a book! Now I call her “Dr. Shelly”!
The first experience I had with this spa was for my wedding party. The staff was amazing making us feel like queens! Getting their full day package has become a needed routine and they let you create your own package, adding or omitting what you want. My favorite's being the hot stone and Caribbean treatment.
I've gone to Angela Krista for about 5 years. A good hairdresser is hard to find and Angela CONSISTENTLY does a good job cutting and coloring my hair. She listens to what I want and makes suggestions to keep my hairstyle current. I get lots of compliments on my hair.
