My wife and I adopted two very special little ones from Richardson Rescue just over one year ago. We both found the workers to be very kind and helpful to us. The only thing I cannot understand is how anyone can &amp;amp;amp;amp;quot;bad mouth&amp;amp;amp;amp;quot; any person or organization that is clearly trying to help save an animals life. I am not a volunteer with any rescue or organization (though I would love to be able to do that one day), but I do know that it must be a very difficult job trying to help save the lives of helpless animals that have either been neglected or abandoned, especially when the reliance is based on donations alone. I also know that no person or organization or business is perfect, and sometimes tragedies do occur, such as the one where the family lost their little one. And regretfully, that is part of the territory that comes with trying to run a rescue; not every pet can always be a healthy pet, but that does not make that pet worth any less, nor does it cause the rescue to simply dispose of the animal without trying to find it a loving home. While it is sad that circumstance did arise, I know that no one at RR would have wished or thought that the adoption would end as it did. We really should be more aware of our rescues, not only Richardson Rescue but the others in our area as well. We should do our best to support them and help them. Trying to run them in the ground will do no harm and will only result in more animals lives being lost. If we are disappointed in any issue, maybe we could be a little more forgiving and understanding regardless the circumstance. Again I say, if Richardson Rescue is helping animals on a daily basis, and I know for a fact that they are, why not support their efforts instead of trying to discourage them and others as well? If Richardson Rescue only helped save one life (and in my case, they saved two) their efforts are honorable and worth it. I am very thankful Richardson Rescue saved the lives of the two additions to our family, things would be completely different without them and we love them dearly. I will support RR and any other organization that truly cares for their animals and the welfare of them. We should be more careful of the things we allow to come from our mouths and our keyboards. We truly should come together and support this rescues efforts in trying to save the lives of animals. I commend them, as I know their work is difficult.

I have worked with Richardson Rescue both as a potential adoptor and a volunteer. Janet and her group care deeply for the animals. I used to be very involved in animal rescue and have volunteered for Richardson Rescue. I can tell you that Richardson Rescue is of a different breed then some other shelters/animal rescue centers. They are very passionate about the animals that they care for. They know each and every one of them by name, they take time in caring for them and socializing them and finding them the right home. It touched my heart to see how seriously they take their work. It takes a special kind of person to manage a group like this and I am very thankful for the work that they do to save so many animals. As for the person who said that he heard that they lose volunteers often, you should know that almost every rescue loses volunteers often. How many people do you know that would be happy to dedicate their free time to clean dog runs and clean and feed animals for free? As I said, it takes a special kind of person to do these things. I’m sure that volunteers often become burnt out when working for a rescue, but Janet and the majority of her main staff have stayed the same for years and to me that says a lot about her character. As someone else stated, God has a special place in heaven for these.
I got a new dog for my son, and he insisted that we use a rescue to help a dog who needs a home. He watched them bottle feed a kitten,,medicate a poor doggy that had his eye removed, and I was amazed at the compassion the employess show these animals. After seeing how genuine and caring this resuce is, I would never go anywhere else.Kudos to the staff and owner Janet Richardson for running such a clean and wonderful work environment and treating her workers as team mates and I am still in awe with what my son witnessed I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE who wants a dog or kitty THEY come out with a clean bill of health and I am comvinced that they have had the best care possible while &amp;quot;vacationing&amp;quot; @ this resuce while awaiting someone loving to take them into their home!!!! My best regards to this wonderful wonderful rescue..Others could take a lesson on how to run a tight ship on how to truly care and love these gr8 animals.. Thanks again RICHARDSON RESCUE I will refer everyone your way!!! Sincerely Kim Steven and our new addition,, Max!!!! YAYYYY!!!!
