Yes, it's almost impossible to speak to your caseworker on the phone. You have to go down there to get anything done. I understand they are busy but I have to leave at least three messages to get a call back, and usually I'm at work and miss the call. I have been trying to get my son on Chip since we don't qualify for medical assistance anymore and it's proving near impossible. And if you've ever had a child that was uninsured, it's extremely stressful having to think twice about taking him to the doctor.

never get a return phone call when you call them leave a message we will get back to you right they acted like they are taking money out of their pockets to help you if it wasn't for people in need these people would not have a job they act like we want to be on asst.

I have no idea how well the Welfare Department actually works because their phone system is absolutely horrendous. There are no hours listed during which to call and when trying to speak to an actual person, the phone system will try a "backup" number and then hang up on you! I know that there are many other people in York County who experience the same disrespectful service from this office. I suppose I'll have to drive to their office and show up to speak face to face. What a terrible waste of my time and resources. Shame on you.
