I went to dr Jalali for 1yr and half all they did was try to push injections and med arbor

on me they told me if i went with them i could come in every 3 months, i started there with 8 medications a day regiment and they dropped me to 4 a day and expected me to make it through the month on half my meds they did that to try to get me to get injections i have had enough injections over the past 7 years they dont work for me, they asked me to leave because i ran out of meds 2 times in one year were talking two days early, the thing was i wasent taking the morphine they were perscribing , it made me sick and they wouldnt change it, so it left me with 3 15mg oxyco a day when i was on 7 a day before i came there, and the docter never once touched me or examined me most of the time didnt even listen to what was going on with my back and neck pain i have been to 3 pain facilities and this was the worst, i would not refer them to no one. i would suggest finding a family docter that will write pain meds and go with.

I RECOMEND IF YOU ARE THERE TO REALLY LOOK FOR ANOTHER PAIN MANGT PLACE THERE ARE MANY AROUND THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP MORE.

PS Good luck trying to get someone on the phone there other then the front desk who just transfers you to an answering machine.

I agree with the person before...

I agree with the person before me, these doctors have been a god send. I was in a severe accident that left me with severe trauma and chronic pain and after being discharged from the hospital was referred to Dr. Park and he has been treating me ever since. He is the most honest doctor I have ever met and will tell you the truth without sugar coating or without making it worse then it is. I've had a chance to meet all the doctors there and they all will listen to you and are amazing at their jobs and not dismissive of patients requests or complaints.

FYI to the person complaining about an opiod contract that is what ANY reputable pain clinic requires, along with random urine drug screens. If you can't meet those requirements then it seems maybe you are one of those people who abuse the system and make it difficult for doctors like Dr Park to treat those in true chronic pain. I think those two things are great, especially if it weeds out the "seekers".

Also, you complain about opiods/opiates to treat pain. I wonder how truly bad your pain is then because I have tried everything from physical therapy (six times), to chiropractors, to accupuncture, and nothing helped. I have only got relief from a combination of medications with injections and now radiofrequency procedures. Never have the doctors there pushed me into any specific treatment and they encouraged me to get a second opinion. (Which, btw, that doctor also supported the current treatment and she wasn't a pain doctor). Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean that you should ruin it for the tons of appreciative patients who they gave back the most important thing, their life.

I have read the other reviews ...

I have read the other reviews re this clinic and found all of them interesting & heartfelt. Sometimes I wonder if public, patient reviews of Dr.'s like this, are "for real" or written by P.R. pros or atty's specializing in malpractice. I have been a pt. of this clinic for a few years now. I moved to Philadelphia in 2006. I've been on "managed pain" since 1995! I was one of 1st patients w/dreaded dx of Fibromyalgia allowed 2 B treated w/long-term opioid meds. I am so grateful I am helped by this protocol, and just as grateful for doctors who support this option. This clinic offers a number of treatment options, not all of their patients are given pain pills. Dr. Lee was my 1st Dr. here & he was terrific! I had just been dx'd w/Rheum. Arthritis when I 1st saw him. Dr. Lee ordered more tests for me, which showed more complications than previously known, he found a tumor in knee bone and a vascular condition that caused agonizing foot pain. He was one of best diagnosticians I've ever met. I felt sad when he left here, to join his family in CA, but Dr. Park, who took over some of Lee's pt's, has a wonderful bedside manner, a very warm, engaging man who is easy to talk to, and lots of fun as well. He knows his patients need to be cheered up! Dr. Patel has recently joined the staff, and I also like him, I would not hesitate to refer friends/family to these 2. Dr. Patel seems to be a caring person, who LISTENS to his patients as well as educates them. It's a busy practice,. I once did have to complain and Dr. Patel was very supportive instead of defensive.

I do feel for the patients who wrote negative reviews, because I have also had nasty experiences throughout my medical history. It's not easy being a "positive PollyAnna" when you are in chronic pain. I hope the folks who related problems here, find the help they need. I do, however, also have a "problem" with people who don't like/approve of opiods, impose their views on others. I dread the thought of these good doctors being sued, and worse, no longer giving patients the option of medicationl To the "prohibitionists" I say, take care of your own business, do not try to bring others down with you. Taking away the opium from people who respond well to medication is very cruel and vindictive. Nobody is taking away your spinal taps! Philadelphia Pain & Spine is a good resource for many. No doctors or clinic is perfect for everybody.

This pain clinic is a joke!.The staff are unfriendly, unhelpful, and very unproffesional. These 2 docterrs Dr Park and Dr Jahlahli are playing GOD and not doing what they are supposed to be doing when it comes to taking your pain away. You fill out a pain OPIOD AGREEMENT so that they can number one cover thier asses, then number 2 try to keep all the junkies away, then the paitient comes last. They're afraid to prescribe opiods and push the money making shots that are a dangerous quik fix.I've met both these docters and have never seen such incompetence. If your late 15 minuts they can cancel your appt, but if they're late you just pay more to park and can wait for hours!.Ive' been in pain for years and seen alot but nothing to this extent. These people are there to make money.I wouldn't take my dog here for treatment. You will be ttreated like a dog if you go.It feels like going to a court hearing.Even if you had an icepick sticking out of your back these grandious little Gods that call themselves Pain SPCECIALISTS are a joke!.We'll see what happens when the PA board of medicine gets my full complaint.I know after speaking to an attorney that things will be different. To the people in pain please just try to get by the best you can.Change Will becoming to this practice and others like it if I have to make my the #1 priority and spending the money for an attorney to prove this place is violating peoples rights that are in pain and don't need this extra troubles be bothered with parking for a fee and a staff that is clueless. They all remind me of the people on those adds they run allday for Lincoln Tech and ect.I don't mean to be mean but this is the GOD's honest truth!!!>

Take care.

GODS BLESS AND GOOD LUCK!

I've been with Dr Park since 2...

I've been with Dr Park since 2001 and through moves from Jefferson and Graduate and now at Greater Philadelphia Spine & Pain out of Lankenau. Dr Park brings a level of enthusiasm and professionalism to treating my chronic pain that I haven't found in my other dealings with pain specialists. He has kept up with the latest advances in the field and worked with me to manage my pain.

Drs Park & Jelali recently parted ways with the other doctor in the practice who founded Lankenau Pain Center. This has resulted in all new office staff as they'd been provided by the hospital. There have been some rough patches while the new staff come up to speed but they are beginning to settle in and I hope we'll see some real improvement soon. I'm not sure how long two pain centers will continue to operate out of Lankenau so another move may be in the cards.

Overall, I would highly recommend Dr Park for anyone who has chronic pain and is looking for a knowledgable and committed doctor to help them manage.
