C & J LED Lighting and Signage

Had a terrible experience with this company who ended up taking my down payment of $1800.00 and never paid it back. I would not take my chances with them. Basic story was we wanted them to make a sign for our restaurant and paid half down. This started in July. July, August and September at least a conversation about every two weeks. They would promise to come by and start the job week after week and never showed. Never done anything on restaurant property. In October we decided to go out of business and did not need the sign any longer. Spoke with Chuck and explained to him we were calling it quits. Ask for refund since we decided not to continue on in the business. He refused. Said he was making the sign even though we never seen anything. In December we tried to take him to court and he did not want to do that and wanted to set up payments.($50.00 a week) We done that. In January he wrote 3 to 4 checks for $50.00 a couple went through and the others bounced. He wanted to catch up and he then wrote a $200.00 check and he told us to hold it until he told us to cash it. Never called back about it. In June we took him to court to be told that he did not have the money and the only thing we could do is garnish his wages. It is now August 2010 and we have never got our money back. If he would of only even started the work to put up the sign we would have not been so upset and would not have asked for the money back but he done nothing. We were only trying to help a small town business and instead he took our money.
