I don't often leave reviews, but it pains me to see this very well run and incredibly HONEST business with one star, because they are so much better than that. Bill's has an excellent reputation among OTHER MECHANICS for the work they do on transmissions. I know this from two different sources. When my truck broke down, the AAA driver recommended them and as it turned out he was right to do so. They absolutely won't do work that isn't required. I was prepared to have it tuned up, but after giving it test ride they said it wasn't necessary. I figured I needed a new battery, but that too, tested OK. There were many opportunities where if they wanted to run up my tab they could have and I wouldn't have thought twice, Instead they methodically checked all the appropriate systems and just did the work that was necessary. They were VERY reasonable in figuring the labor costs. These are extremely nice people and their honesty is refreshing, to say the least. As to how long jobs take here, I've noticed that in the Valley, where ever I've gone, auto work takes a while. Obviously, I'm not talking about an oil change, but if you bring a car/truck to a shop and they have to figure out what's wrong with it, how long should that take? It sort of depends on what's wrong with it. In the end, you want them to figure that out and to just pay for what was needed. You'll get that at Bill's.
