Firstly I want to say that this is a great place to buy gear and the people are very knowledgeable. I am expressing a bad sale experience with a return from the manager. This does not in any way reflect anything else but the return i’m rating.

I came in April the 13th to pickup some padded short for my 2 daughters for a Mammoth trip that weekend and while there I got to talking with Max about skis.. Well one thing led to another and I ended up buying new skis, bindings and poles. Had no intentions to purchase skis since I really prefer to use demos everywhere I go with my own boots. Last min before checking out I grabbed a traveling bag thinking I would use it. After leaving on my way home spending 1100 bucks I gave it more thought. I never travel on airplane with skis. Too much of a hassle. Figure I’d bring it back after my trip.

The skis I bought are amazing and couldn’t be happier with them. Max was so right!

So today the 16th I finally had time to run down there and return the bag as well as I want to buy a new set of boats since I hate my Sure boots I had built a month ago. Can’t stand them and paid a fortune. Since Max so amazing on the ski recommendation I was going to follow his lead in boots.

Well I was very disappointed when I tried to return the carrying bag to find out that all sales are final on a sales item which I didn’t even realize it was on sale when I purchased it. Plus the manager tried to feed me you only have seven days to return for credit I was a little blown away after just spending $1100 and was probably gonna spend another 700 to 900 on boots.

Not sure if the manager saw the big picture. Just a little slap in the face. Between my kids and myself I’ve dropped over 2800 this season Not to mention my buddy’s who just bought full sets of gear.

I would expect little better since this place is not an REI but a community place of business.

I recently purchased new ski boots at Sports LTD and was helped by Lenny Rosenberg. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. Lenny carefully measured my feet, selected 2 brands of boots to try, modified my Superfoot cork Orthotics slightly, and provided me with a boot that is snug from the tips of my toes to my shin with a soft, comfortable liner and no pressure points. I did try on a total of 4 brands of boots, one of which was at my request. The most comfortable boot was the first one Lenny selected, which I attribute to his accurate measurement of my feet and his knowledge of the product. I had often thought that all the good boot fitters were at the ski resorts.This guy changed my mind. I am very grateful for his expertise and his careful attention to my skiing needs. I have nothing but praise for him, and if I ever need boots again, I will go directly to this store only and to Lenny.

Not only do they have a great selection of gear at reasonable prices, but they've also been generous supporters of our water ski & wakeboard tournaments for several years!

OK why didn't someone earlier tell me about this place. Thought only one ski/snowboard shop existed in so-Cal but glad they don't. Well worth the trip up 405 and I think I have just been converted, this is my new ski shop for LA. The choices they made me make, GNU or Burton, and my girl, K2 or Rossignal, these are decision I love to make. Got sick, sick equipment and much cheaper than I thought. Also got a new jacket, 40% off, cant wait for next season.
