Overall

I purchased a 2004 F150 Lariat from Mr. Allen Glass in October 2014. When I first went to look at the vehicle, there were issues that I was told would be fixed. The truck did not have the proper wheels/tires that the truck had been advertised with. The vehicle had several cosmetic issues on the paint. There was some rust on the bumper. The radio did not shut off when I turned the truck off or opened the door. The radio had to be manually turned off. I was promised a vehicle detail and a second key.

Trusting that Mr. Allan Glass was a man of his word, I put a deposit on the vehicle. Upon picking the vehicle up, all cosmetic issues were repaired. I took the vehicle to my parents to show it off. When I got there, I noticed the radio still did not turn off when the door opened, a repair that Mr. Glass promised had been made. I was unhappy but I was hoping that was a minor issue. Before leaving my parents house, I started the truck and stood outside with my father. Something under the hood started ticking. I called Mr. Glass the next day and was told to take it to a mechanic and have the vehicle repaired and he would pay 50% because the issue was not covered by his 60 Day Warranty.

I took the truck to a mechanic and learned that it had an Exhaust Manifold Leak that was NOT new. The repairs for the radio (internal wiring issue, BCM Module) and the Exhaust Manifold costed $1407. I was without a vehicle for nearly a week.

After taking the vehicle to the repair shop, I have to question how it passed MD State Inspection. The vehicle had rusted power steering return lines that were leaking. Both front brake calipers were sticking, causing the front wheels to get hot and smell of burnt brakes. The rear sliding window leaked water. He only sold the truck with one key and insisted that a second key would cost under $5. The second key/remote costed $150 from the Ford dealership.

I contacted the MD Inspection Station where Mr. Glass was sending the vehicles. They were unable to verify if they had inspected the vehicle and stated that they no longer did business with Mr. Glass. Mr. Glass provided the MD State Tag and Registration. I was not provided with a copy of the Inspection Certificate.

I contacted Mr. Glass with the total for the repairs. He asked for a copy of the receipt and agreed to pay 50%. He said the check was "in the mail".

The check has yet to come... Mr. Glass has even promised and arranged to meet me at a shopping center near my home to personally give me the check. He has never showed up.

After several phone calls per month over the last year, I have yet to receive a check from him. I have heard every excuse in the book, from his mother being in hospice to him being out of town to him having major back surgery etc. Mr. Glass no longer answers my phone calls or texts.

Beware of this con artist! He is a crook! He will tell you anything to make a sale....
