Custom Made by Steven Designs

A word of caution for anyone considering using Steven Quiles​ of Custom Made by Steven. He is not an Avalon based business, and he is far from ethical. My wife and I contracted him to do three different projects for our home in Avalon after seeing his work on this page. We gave him $4700 as a deposit for said work, and he failed to complete any of the projects. He quit after a month and forced me to drive 45 minutes to his shop to recover my cabinet doors. I have yet to recover any of my deposit, and he will not return my calls, texts or e-mails. I even offered him a payment plan, since he claimed he was destitute. Unfortunately, I am now forced to take legal action to try to recover my funds. My house is destroyed (cabinets, staircase and fireplace), and it will cost me over $9000 to have another contractor fix it. Go with a local, licensed contractor and avoid being scammed. I have photos of the destruction if it helps the group. I'm hopeful that the site admin will consider removing him from all community sites. We cannot allow outsiders to take advantage of local residents. Thank you.
