I just got my fine, straight blondish hair cut by Chris and I really love it! The attention he paid to the way my hair hangs was intense and careful. The cut swings nicely and the shape holds together so I look very "pulled together", not my usual fly-away straggly artist look. He told me a lot about his extensive background and it showed in the care he took. I will be going back to him for highlights and coloring my encroaching grey, in addition to cuts. The salon is new and so feels a little sparse, although they are set up for a full house. The colors aren't what I would have chosen, but that's a minor point. It would be nice to see the staff in a somewhat coordinated "uniform" (but not a uniform per se). I wasn't sure who worked there or who was a customer. I'm an artist and apparel/textile designer, so my life is color and fabric and "look", so I'm especially critical. Bottom line is the way you feel when you come out of Shear Excitement and I felt fabulous!
Eddie. He has been cutting my hair for a couple of years. He has always been fabulous on so many levels! This particular time.....he gave me the best hair cut I have ever had! I decided to go short...........scary for me!......he styled it in just such a fashion....He said it would look good growing out as well! He was right. I am a year into this style and it still looks good!!!!!!!!! I know this is not average for a haircut...but he was right! I wanted to take the time and energy to tell you all how wonderful I think Eddie is!!!!!!!! Thank you, Eddie, for being you........and loving what you do! I will be on your schedule before long!!! PS He is the only one I have ever had cut my childrens' hair that actually understood what I meant when I said not to cut too much, they like it long.! No one ever really believes me and they give "classic little boy cuts" regardless.
Wow, I just read the reviews below and I was shocked. I have gone there for a year for both manicures and pedicures. Amy and Leo have both worked with me, but mostly Amy. I have always found everyone there delightful and the work has been tremendous. I was getting regular manicures and pedicures and they introduced me to Gel. My pedicures last for months and my manicures about 3 weeks - and I'm a gardener who likes to work without gloves. Again, in a year, I have never witnessed any behavior remotely like that described below, and I have witnessed technicians gladly repair issues that have popped up with clients after receiving their service. In my opinion, there is no one in that salon who could be rude if they tried. I even give gift certificates to my loved ones because I knowit will be such a great experience.
