Florida Eye Clinic

I've been to a few eye places around town and I finally found one that does it right. Office staff is extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. The specialists and doctors are all really great too. They seem like some of the smartest in town (I've been to a few places that seemed to contradict their answers to a lot of questions I had about extreme nearsightedness). Most Florida Eye Clinic offices I'd give a solid four stars to, but the Windermere location exceeds expectations on promptness, friendliness and trust.

DON'T GO! I scheduled an eye exam at the Windermere Florida Eye Clinic, brought in my already filled out papers and wore my contacts in. While there, the employee getting my history was trying to be funny and came off completely rude. She continued to poke fun at me because I was nervous about the puff of air in my eyes (because who isn't). Once Dr. Helbling came in, she told me we were doing dilation. I drove myself because I had a family member in the ER at that moment. I wasn't planning on doing dilation because I didn't have anyone to drive me after. She told me "it's Florida state law" to get it done and that I "didn't have a choice". She put the drops in without even telling me she was doing it right then. AFTER the dilation, she proceeded to do the eye exam, having me tell her which one was better to see the letters on the wall ALL WHILE my eyes are being dilated. I then had to drive myself home with crappy dilated vision. I now have the wrong prescription! Never again!
