Avoid this place. Really. It will ruin your morning (or whenever you go to coffeeshops).
I was in Winchester and needed a place to work, get a cup of coffee, and work on the computer before a meeting. I picked the Daily Grind because when I lived in Winchester back in the day (under the founders, not the current owners) it was a really nice little shop. Oh my, but that has changed.
Coffee- THEY RAN OUT OF COFFEE. I got a third of a cup, and was told that they would not be brewing any more normal coffee because they were out of beans. Huh? A coffee shop out of beans? I had to drink some bizarre flavored stuff because that's all they had.
Food- I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Shouldn't be that complicated. First, the girl at the counter forgot I'd ordered the bagel, and I had to ask for it. Second, I ordered a cinnamon-raisin bagel... they brought me jalepeno. Not even close. Third, it was stale. Horrible. Not fit to eat, and with only a tiny little container of cream cheese... When I asked for my money back, she told me that they don't do refunds.
The most amazing part? When I asked if all the bagels were stale, she argued with me and insisted that none of them were stale. Her reasoning? She had taken them out of the freezer that morning, so they couldn't already be stale. Apparently the Daily Grind doesn't understand that good bagels come out of the oven in the morning, not out of the freezer.
