Located at the center area of Grand Central Market, McConnell's was the only ice cream vendor among all. I was here with some friend on a typical Saturday. The wait time was about 20 mins before ordering. All their ice flavors were listed on a board above your head and there were about 12 different kinds. Some of them seemed to have unique combinations, such as Churros Con Leche and Earl Grey Tea & Butter Biscuit. Definitely ask for samples if you're first-timer. The staffs were very friendly and never hesitated to give you good, spoonful amount of ice cream to try out. My favorites were the Eureka Lemon Marionberries and the Earl Grey Butter Biscuit! The two scoops ice cream on cone came out to be around $8, but the excitement and enjoyable moment were priceless. The main parking lot at Grand Central Market can be pricy. Daily Maximum is $25. So park somewhere else nearby (normally $8-10 flat rate) and walk over.
Wow, what a experience that was! I was told the yogurt was MADE fresh daily! I have to admit, it was delicious! Tons of nonfat flavors that didnt taste non fat, but they swear it is! The tart pomegranate and plain were also unbelievable. Its a tiny shop, but they pack a punch, watch out Pinkberry, new toot in town! Definitely worth the looks and taste! : )
In a hot day or if you got a sweet tooth then this is the place to come. They have a huge selection of fruit and milk based ice cream. Even some rare hard to come by flavors can be found here. The only problem they have is the lack of space inside the store since and the lack of good parking. Other that everything is great.
