I’ll cover as many as I can describe here: *Taste – Not only was the food cooked perfectly, but the dining room was very tastefully done and very clean. *Touch (texture) – Did I mention clean…any restaurant that would bring me to a table before cleaning it gets 2 stars removed off the bat. Laterna looked like it had just been through a closed weekend for cleaning…and it was a Friday!!! How many restaurants can stay clean on a Friday?!? Back to the food…I mentioned it was tasty, but it was not over, or under, cooked. Soggy pasta can ruin the best dish. *Smell – My companion, who doesn’t wear a lot of perfume, was not over powered by emanations from the kitchen. When the dishes were served, they didn’t attack me with a sizzling attack of grease. That’s not to say that the dishes were low fat, it just stayed in the sauce, as it should! *Sight – I’ve already covered the dining room above. The staff was attired nicely too, NO FLAIR. *Sound – The only thing I could hear over my “MMMM’s” was the melodious serenade on a piano secreted in the back dining room. I was impressed that it wasn’t piped music, but actually the owner herself. Oh, did I mention she was as lovely as she played. (Shhhhh, don’t tell my wife) Our Waitress was fully versed on the menu, and proved it under questioning. I even mentioned a couple of alterations and additions to the written menu and she took them with a smile and ensured that I received what I ordered, THE FIRST TIME. I asked for a plate of olives on the side and it immediately arrived without a single raised eyebrow. Kudos to the kitchen. My meal in a timely fashion, not overly cold or hot, and in a timely manner. The entrée arrived as soon as I had finished my salad. Only one problem...parking. When people find out how good this place is, they'll need more of it. There are your 5 stars…try and judge for yourself.
We heard a lot of great comments about Fish Bites so we decided to give it a try. This place is simply incredible. We were so impressed with the decor from there floor that looks like the ocean to the beautiful bar that looks like an oyster reef. Our friends told us that they had been there several times and everything was great, We love crab dip so we had crab & shrimp dip... it truly was the best dip we''ve ever had. The menu is wonderful, we had a hard time deciding what to try. We settled on the stuffed flounder and the fisherman's stew. Both were fantastic. Something that stood out while we were waiting for our food was how people at other tables were raving about their food. Once we received our food we soon found out why. This is definitely the best seafood in the area, probably some of the best we've had in our travels. This is definitely a place that has to be experienced to be believed. Fish Bites is definitely our new favorite place to eat. We are so happy they opened. Judy and Bill
My first experience at Blue Asia was great. I chose the lunch all you can eat. It's a really great price but you definitely have to know your limits, as thy charge you for leftovers which can't leave with you. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice, apart from the tvs which I found distracting. I will definitely be visiting again.
