Dental Examination
As a gold standard we carry out a thorough oral examination and oral cancer check on every hygiene visit. We will provide you with a full report of the condition of your teeth & gums and any clinical findings.
X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
At your first visit, we will take a set of digital photos and x-rays to evaluate your oral health. Our hygienist will also assess your gum tissues health by performing a complete periodontal charting. If you desire, you may also get your fist cleaning (dental prophylaxis) at this time. The doctor will listen to your concerns and perform a detailed dental and oral cancer screening exam. Then he/she will review the findings with you. All aspects of the proposed treatment will be explained to you including number of visits, finances, and insurance coverage. Depending on your unique dental condition, you may have several treatment options presented to you. You will be able to ask questions and make informed decisions.We have found this simple approach works very well to make sure everything is clear and understood before any treatment is performed.

Teeth Cleaning
Fees can vary widely from office to office. Many factors can affect fees including geographic location of the office, how well maintained the facility is and most importantly quality of care which is directly related doctor's level of experience and skills and post-doctoral training. The quality of the results and service are oftentimes proportional to fees. We believe our fees reflect our ability to deliver on all of those factors at peak levels while creating a great value for our patients. Since we have chosen not to participate with any insurance companies plans, our fees are highly competitive. Depending on your insurance plan, most times you will have little if any co-payment for routine exams, x-rays and dental cleanings.
Fluoride Treatment
During your hygiene appointment our hygienists will carefully examine and chart your teeth and gums noting in particular: inflammation, bleeding, swelling, and the presence of plaque and calculus. Plaque, calculus and surface stains are removed by gentle scraping and polishing. Fluoride treatment and dental sealants also will be provided to children and young adults. Sealants are resinous material that are designed to penetrate into the deep grooves of the back teeth and protect them against cavity causing bacteria.

4. Amalgam separator (wastewater mercury capture device): We use Solmetex Hg5 mercury filtration device in our vacuum pump which captures 90% of the mercury released during removal of the old dental amalgam fillings. This device also captures other metallic ions such as nickel, cobalt, molybdenium and chromium (used in dental crowns), thus preventing their release into sewer lines and eventually to the water table.
Veneers
Dental veneers are wafer thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They can be used to improve the shape of misaligned teeth, the color of your teeth and repair chipped or broken teeth. Lumineers are a recent advancement in cosmetic dentistry as they require no or very little removal of the natural tooth structure. Lumineers porcelain is very strong and can be made in very thin layers therefore reducing the need to reduce the natural tooth structure.
Crowns
A temporary crown or bridge usually made of a plastic material is placed on the treated teeth while the permanent crown or bridge is being fabricated by the dental laboratory. The temporary serves a very important purpose. It protects the exposed dentin so it is not sensitive, prevents food and bacteria from collecting on the prepared teeth, and prevents the tooth from shifting or moving, which can make seating of the final restoration more difficult.
Bridges
Implants are the gold standard for replacement of missing teeth where applicable. An implant is a titanium post that is placed in the space of the missing tooth and a crown is attached to it. Missing teeth can be easily replaced using a dental bridge, which is essentially a restoration that spans the gap between two teeth and supports a crown.
Dental Bonding

Root Canal Treatment
A tooth knocked loose has a high chance of survival when stabilized early. If the tooth has been displaced, gently move it back to its place. Do not chew on that tooth by any means before seeing your dentist. Depending on the severity of trauma, root canal therapy may be needed in future if tooth starts to darken in color, become sensitive to hot or cold or starts aching spontaneously.

Deep Cleaning
There are numerous reasons for having a swelling or tenderness in the gums. The two most common offenders are infection of the tooth due to severe decay or infection of the surrounding gum tissue due to inflammatory disease of the gums. Pain killers and antibiotics are recommended until you can visit your dentist. If the culprit is the tooth, you may need root canal therapy or extraction. In case your swelling stems from the gum infection, depending on the severity of the infection, you may need deep cleaning (Scaling and root planing), gum surgery, antibiotic therapy or extraction of the infected tooth. At times it is possible for a piece of food to get trapped in the gums, and in less than 24 hours can cause a massive amount of pain and infection. Either way, you need to see your dentist for a thorough evaluation.

Dentures
Wear your new denture day time only and remove it before going to bed. Let denture soak in a cleaner solution or salt water bath over night. Never wear your denture at night as it will not only irritate your gums, but also may cause excessive growth of oral bacteria and fungi. New dentures are much like new shoes and need breaking in before they get comfortable. Please be patient and come for all your adjustment appointments. Usually it takes 3 - 4 adjustments for a new denture to become fairly comfortable. You may use denture adhesive for added comfort and retention. Your may experience lisping and slight speech difficulty at first, but with constant wearing and practice it will become normal again.
