I will honestly say after reading the reviews on here and Google I was afraid to step foot in this place. I had also heard from a few people at work that the owner is an unusual character. So I put it off for a few weeks. I went there yesterday..I was greeted by a friendly face and a great big smile. The owner, I later learned his name is John, was fantastic..maybe his no nonsense attitude puts some people off..But I liked him. I was told come back tomorrow. I had dropped off 14 -8mm tapes and 1 vcr tape. I didn't think he'd be done the next day but he was! It took a little extra time bc 4 of my tapes were broken . Again greeted with a great big smile. The sign on the counter basically said drop your tapes off and get out.. But he talked with me for several minutes. John is a great guy. The time frame is amazing and the prices!!-come on!! They can't be beat!!!

This is dude is a total dick ! He insulted me because I called his store more than once to see if he was open on a Saturday. Not all mom and pop places stick to their hours they post.

He insulted me and was on the borderline of getting his ass handed to him. I would never in a million years give someone like him my money.

The guy dresses like he is a wanna be 70's pimp.

Good luck going to him people. You have been warned by many people on here.

I have never been so offended in 15 seconds flat and it takes a lot for me to feel offended. I walked right out. Shame on this guy. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but I see everyone else had the same experience. I would never trust my precious film to such a rude, unprofessional jerk. I don't care if he does do good work. Customer service and just plain common courtesy is important to people. He lost several hundred dollars of work from me that I am happy to take elsewhere. I wish I would've looked at the reviews before driving so far out of my way to go there. By the way, this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a poor review for a business. I hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake.

This guy is a total jerk! Do not waste your time. I wouldn't give him a penny of my money. I came right home from his business to provide my feedback as I have never had this experience before. He is not just "a little rough around the edges". He is flat out rude. I am in business myself and I cannot understand how he continues in operation with a complete lack of common courtesy.

The reviews below are a 100% depiction of the over-sensitivity of the times. This guy is a little rough around the edges, he doesn't want to hear people stories when they come in, and he can seem a bit rash. People need to get a little bit of a thicker skin.



The work he does is very good and compared to the other pricing I've looked at, he is extremely reasonable. He also does next day pick-up which is awesome.



I hate to see this place get bad reviews just because the guy is a little out there and doesn't have too big of a filter. The work he does is great.

I went to this business and asked one little question about deleting parts of the tapes I had and he said "If you haven't done it in 10 years, you never will!" I was so put off that I just left without saying anything. I would never do business with him. I thought he was just having a bad day and then I found all of these reviews with the same kind of bizarre interactions with him.

It may sound odd, but, I'm glad to hear similar experiences to mine. I asked one innocent question about what his services included, and he became irate, rude, and offensive. WTF? This person should not be dealing with the public. Period. He refused to transfer my audio cassettes to disc. A real jerk. He SHOULD be put out of business.

Come on, what do you expect when you go to this kind of shop, Captain Kangaroo? He does a great job at what he does. Always fast, cheap, and high quality. He has copied tons of stuff for me that I need professionally. If there is ever a problem, he does it over, no questions asked. He provides an important service, so please stop trying to put him out of business.

i never take the time to write reviews but the owner of this store was so rude to me that i can't imagine how he stays in business. i brought a bunch of 8mm films to have transferred to dvd. i was trying to explain to him that not all the films are full but he seemed really bothered by everything i said. he gave me a price and when i asked him if the price would be the same if some of the films where not full, he dumped all my stuff back in my box, pushed it across the counter and told me to take my business elsewhere because he didn't have time for this. i thought i was asking a simple question but apparently not. he was so rude and nasty. i was so taken back and offended i didn't know what to think. i would give him negative stars if i could.

I can't believe I am even wasting my time writing this but I'm hoping it will at least take one more customer out this mans hands. Hopefully he will go broke and have to live on the street with the rest of the bums! I walked in w a tape to have transferred to a disc I am 5 months pregnant and had my 2 year old son in my arms! He was immediately rude, condescending and plain old nasty. Talked to me as if I was stupid, when in fact I guarantee I can run circles around him w what goes on ia day. I took my tape back and told him he will never speak to me that away again! As someone stated previously... He is for sure off his meds or needs a MUCH higher dose! Can't even believe I have to give him a star at all!

It was a long while ago, but I am STILL angry at this place. I brought a batch of 8mm to be put on VHS back then. The quality of the transfer was just awful. I went to view my original films. They had not re-wound any of the tapes. I have a box of unwound tapes, no projector, or re-winder....only the lousy quality tape transfer done by these people. I have since learned the questions to ask before taking any more precious super 8's to be digitized.

I went to this business to have some work done with film to DVD - the man behind the desk truly has some major issues - he was belittling and nasty and ended up actually throwing my order at me and telling me to leave - he did not want to do my work. Mind you there was nothing unusual in what I brought to him - I had the order totally organized and he told me "that obsessive-compulsive people made him nervous"!!! Truly this man has problems - strongly advise you find someone else. If I could do less than one star I would.

Spent less than 5 minutes with this person before I had to walk out the door. The person behind the counter was abruptly confrontationally rude to me. I left thinking that he must have a mental health issue, that's how weird the experience was. What started him off was that he didn't think I got my tapes out of my bag fast enough... I am assuming he was temporarily off his medication. Beware.
