Being from the east coast near New Jersey I think I might have an idea of what good pizza tastes like. This establishment likes to boast its New York style, so it needs to be New York style. The pizza dough has a good flavor and texture; it is thin just like I prefer. The sauce is a little bland, but not bad. I prefer a sweeter taste. The cheese is what makes the pizza snap, the cheese used here is okay, but it is lacking something....Bartellis cheese does not have that "stringy" texture that wants to hang on the pie when you bite it. The strombolis are not the same as the east coast as well, they are more of a "pizza boat" in this establishment. The canollis on the other hand are quite tasty! Another pizza restaurant in the area that is close to east coast is the Poplar restaurant in Andover on K-15. Their pizza is thick, which I am not fond of, but the bread, sauce, and cheese are superb!
Pluses: Excellent pizza, excellent salads (my faves are the Salsiccia pizza and the Insalata d'il Vicino) and desserts to die for!! Freshly-prepared food, that awesome-tasting wood-oven pizza, and attentive, friendly and super-efficient waitstaff add to the great dining experience!! Minuses: Irritating jazz music (volume too high) and LONG lines at the ordering stations during prime dining hours. I would recommend arriving early (5-5:30 p.m.) or later in the evening (8-8:30 p.m.). In spite of long lines, totally worth the wait!!!!
Reasonably priced pizza buffet on the west side of town. Friendly service if you can handle them yelling at customers when the walk in. "hi, welcome to cici's" to every Tom, Dicky & harry that goes in or out the door. Other than that, u can order any pizza u like and they will give u the first serving, deliver it to your table, and not have to fight over everybody else. One tip: AVOID rush hour. It gets super busy and kids are everywhere
