If you're looking for a Church that is perfect, well good luck. No Church is perfect, because the Church is comprised of human beings and no human being is perfect. Pastor Boswell has been with us for around five years now and his solid, no punches pulled messages have made a big difference in how we see our community and the world. Immanuel's focus is no longer on buildings, activities and outward appearances like the large cross, but it is now the people who live in our community, city, state, country and world. Our goal is to spend more and more time, effort and money on reaching the lost for Christ. That is our number one mission. On Sunday, we now have a contemporary service at 9:30 am and a traditional service at 10:50 am. Wednesday nights are filled with fun for everyone. Wednesday night dinner is served at 5:00 pm and is followed by a bible study for all ages. At 6:20 pm, Awanas kicks off in the main gym for Kids Preschool age through sixth grade. Older children have their own bible study and activities up stairs in the youth area with Brother Matt. I have been attending Immanuel since 1993 and have been through many ups and downs, but there is no other church in the city that I would rather call home.
If you want to experience true worship and kingdom teaching, well New Zion is this place!! My life has been fully blessed by the teaching Pastor Williams brings forth. Alot of people don't agree with the way he teaches, for example, he may use a pet word here and there, but this man of God is straight forward. Like it or not, we need more preachers who God (not man) has chosen to bring us back to Him and fullfil the destiny and plan our Creator has for us to do. So come and be blessed spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially..... New Zion Baptist Church!! Sunday mornings 11 am and Tuesday night 7pm. Other awesome things happening at this place, praise team, praise dancer's, food ministry, RSW (REACHING SUCCESS WORLDWIDE) formally known as New Zion Christian Academy, Agape Daycare Center and a host of other organizations in this body of Christ... Go and be blessed
My family and I are new to the area and have been searching for a church home. The pastor at New Spring is a wonderful speaker. The church is big but I have been to big churches and they still know how to bring people together. This church does not find that important. You can come here week after week and no one will say a word to you unless they have the duty of door greeter. It is a shame because I would love to stay here for the preaching but we need fellowship too. If you want to get involved in anything else at this church, there is a short window to sign up but if you miss that window you have to wait for the next window which could be months away. I also find it distracting with all the coffee that is brought into the sanctuary...a girl sat next to me one week and could not stop slurping...just took away from the worship experience.
