I've been searching for a place like this for years! This is truly the definition of a hidden gem. I grew up going to "Supper Clubs" in Wisconsin with my parents. The art of a true supper club is something that I thought had been lost in years gone by. A classy lounge with friendly bar-tenders, servers, lounge Charis and drinks. Followed by a great dinner of classic American fare - steaks, chicken, seafood even prime rib (which I had, and was great!!! hardly any fat and very juicy - best cut I've had in years & cooked perfectly). Followed up by a trip to the lounge for an after dinner drink. If you appreciate the atmosphere of days gone by - (Not implying this place looks run down or old - it doesn't - it looks in its prime but has the feel of a classic 1970's & 80's supper club) honest service and great food - you owe it to yourself to make a trip to Tommy's. Granted I've only been there once now (about an hour ago), I plan on going back very soon. I honestly felt like I had gone back in time. Tommy's offers a truly unique and classic experience, lost amongst the chains and more recent establishments of the area. Tony Vogds
I visit this restaurant every week, love the food, the music and the ambiance. Very romantic setting! My faves: Pasta Verde +chicken, Spiedini + chicken and the awesome Cashew Chicken Curry Salad with raspberry dressing---yum, yum, yum!! Super desserts, but my fave is the Tiramisu (nice and light after the main course!). Great entertainment here: a different musical offering every evening, from Italian/Neil Diamond/pop songs sung by the owner with guitar and piano accompaniment, to jazz guitarists, Middle-Eastern music (check out the oud and special keyboard and Arabic songs performed by the owner!), classical guitarists and a father-daughter guitar-mandolin duo. Friendly and cheerful waitstaff. Wonderful place to just relax, have an outstanding meal, soak up the atmosphere, and listen to good music!!!
I've been eating at Lee's for close to 20 years (except the few years when the owners returned to Singapore to spend time with family). While the lunch buffet may be limited, the dinner menu is diverse and extensive. (And if the buffet doesn't appeal, ask for the menu! If you really want to experiment, ask for the Chinese menu! The food here is wonderful - favorites include sesame beef and lemon chicken. Not on the menu but available if you know to ask are the puffy cinnamon rolls for desert - they arrive HOT and yummy! The service is good, and when the owner is in she will come by your table to check on you. This has become the restaurant of choice for ANY occasion - birthday, anniversay or 'just because'. Be sure to visit for Chinese New Year - always fun!
