We within the last week , brought home a seemingly perfect puppy .
Perfect in everyway . By day 5 she is at the animal hospital with parvovirus and giardia . Giardia is transferable to humans via fecal matter . With the parvovirus there is no shortage of that .

This sweet puppy is extremely sick and may not live . Please learn from our ignorance and do not purchase from or even enter the "Whitehall Mall Pet shop " . Your health could be at risk especially if you have a weak immune system which will allow you to contract the Giardia from a lesser degree of contact .

So if like us you were not sure or have placed a deposit on a dog .
Go get your money back and RUN FOR THE HILLS .
The ASPCA has just brought a truckload of Hurricane displaced animals who need adoption . Do not support the Puppy Mills or their Retailers .
Do not support "The Pet Shop " at any location .

We were in looking at dogs for my daughter. My son that is autistic walked away for 1 min and looked at the cats. He tapped the cage and the lady at the desk yelled at him and made him cry. I walked up to her and said he is autistic if she can just talk to him instead of yelling and she said no he shouldn't do that. She was VERY rude and disrespectful.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I recently got a parakeet and I'm so glad i didn't but from here!! I wanted to convert it to an all pellet diet since PetSmart feeds their birds a blend and I purchased a bag of ZuPreem here. I was thrilled that the price was a dollar cheaper than PetSmart!! Boy, was I wrong to buy that. My parakeet became VERY sick. Her avian vet said if I waited another day to bring her in, she would've died. After some hunting on the ZuPreem bag I finally found the tiny, tiny expiration date... and it expired in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I know the food was to blame becasue it's the only thing that changed in her routine, and her droppings changed dramatically as well!! PLEASE don't buy ANYHTING from this place!!!!! If you see how bad they treat their products... imagine how bad they treat their live animals!!!!!!!!!

I just purchased a dog from there a few weeks ago, since a few days after i brought him home i was experiencing problems with the dog. His eyes were blood shot, he had a hacking cough that sounded like he was choking on something and he was giving off a funky odor, more so than healthy dogs do. After a few days of watching my dog be ill i took him to the vet, the dog had an ear infection and pneumonia. The pet store told me it was normal for dogs to get sick when being taken to a new home but pneumonia is where i draw the line. Thankfully they have to pay for the vet bills but i still had to pay some money out of my pocket for the testing they didnt cover. The poor dog is still sick till this day and on 4 meds every single day until he is better. The manager of the pet shop is very rude and not helpful at all when an issue is brought to her, she stated "i dont know what you want me to do" when i called to tell her about all the problems the puppy has been having. She also said that taking care of an animal is like taking care of a human and sometimes they get sick, as if i was dumb enough to not know that, but dont accuse the buyer of being a bad owner when the store isnt following their own advice and taking care of the pets themselves. I am not surprised at all the bad reviews on this page Im sure they are all true. I doubt people would take the time to search for a pet store to close down. People have better things to do. And i do believe they sold a pitbull because i have a friend whos best friend bought one from there and the dog has hip problems. These poor animals are mostlikly puppy mill dogs and they all do need homes but if people buy from the store they will just keep getting more in. This pet store should not sell animals, and right now i feel they shouldnt even sell the supplies for animals because their service is bad and management is rude.
