Thieves and liars.



I understand the stigma associated with pawn shops: questionable merch sold by disreputable people and so forth. But these guys really abuse the privilege! A friend of ours gave us a flat screen tv that we as currently being homeless couldn't use or store. We tried it of course to make sure it worked with my kid's movie player and was able to get picture and sound. We got the bright idea to try selling it and get a bit for food and gas, called these guys and got confirmation: yep they bought tvs year round.



The long story short, spent the last of my gas to get to this shop and talked with a sympathiitic young fellow who in hindsight was the only one in there with a shred of humanity left. Of course, when they plugged it in, it wouldn't stay on. The one I spoke to earlier came out of his cave in back and said if I could get it working they would give me money. Ok, challenge accepted. I looked the problem up on my phone, found it's a common problem to that model but easily fixed with the proper tools. A third came out of the back and the temperature dropped twenty degrees. I had none of my tools with me so asked if they had any I could use seeing as I can do electrical repair

The girl, who I assume to be a manager, took a mocking tone, "of course they don't have tools". I'm a little ashamed to say I rose to their bait and it quickly escalated to a shouting match which resulting in me leaving the store without the tv (did me no good with it not working and no way to repair it) but also I was afraid if I took it in my hands I was going to put it over the goblin faced manager girl or the pedo looking liar who got me in there in the first place.

So beware, if you find yourself in this store don't expect bargains or even a little human kindness.

On a side note, I have noticed with other reviews of this place they sometimes sell defunct stuff so if you see a sylvania 40 LCD screen for sale there, make sure it works before you consider it seeing as they got that one from me for free
