Trinity Turf

Not sure what happened last year but my landscaping business bought grass in bulk from Trinity Turf and as we planted it at our customer's job sites, it started growing clover instead of grass. We asked for a simple sun & shade mix so that it would grow well everywhere but what they sent us had different shaped seeds in it that, to us, looked like small pieces of nutrient. We called our sales rep to ask what happened to our grass seed and he assured us that there was no problem. He said this was their signature mix for sun and shade and that we must have had someone at our company mixing any additional nutrients or fertilizers in after purchase because they didn't do that. I was assured that their mix was 100% organic with no fertilizers mixed in. We planted this at several sites for our customers and when they expected to see only grass growing on the lawns of their 'high end' homes near Richmond, they saw fillers of red & white clover everywhere I their lawns. I don't know what this grass seed company did to us but it cost us several thousand dollars in equipment & labor to tear up these lawns and come back with sod since the time for the grass to grow was now shortened. I would recommend that you not use this company as I don't think they know what they're doing. After the first debacle with their salesman, I didn't dare call back, I figured he would just blame us again for their mistake. Very unprofessional, poor quality, unhelpful service. Would not use them again.
