Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center

My mother was placed in this facility and after a few weeks the social worker, my mother and I all agreed she would not be able to return to independant living. The social worker assured me my mother would be able to stay on a long term basis under medicaid. I got rid of 95% of her personal belongings and brought all her clothes and a few personal belongings to the facility expecting Four Chaplains would be her last home before going home.



My mother became ill and Four Chaplains sent her to the hospital. The next morning a representative called me to tell me that I needed to pay almost $200 a day to hold her bed. I got very upset and explained my mother is on disability and lived month to month and had no savings. Needless to say, she lost her bed.



She ended up in another facility and although the second facility had a "bed hold" policy, they assured me they do not refuse patients back, regardless of ability to pay the hold fee. A couple months later she was again moved to another facility that had a Medicaid bed and that facility assured me the same thing as the second facility.



While in these two facilites my mother was sent to the hospital MANY times and I was NEVER asked for anything to hold the bed.



Make sure you have a good understanding of "Bed hold" policies if you have a loved one in a facility.



Lastly, Four Chaplains finally sent be a bill for her uncovered expenses for a very short stay and let me assure you it was about 3 times more per-day than any other facility. Needless to say, I took personal satisfaction in refusing to pay this bill.

My mother came to Four Chaplains first in August 2009 then back again in October 2009. Unfortunately we lost her in January 2010.



I would like to say that I found Four Chaplains to be very high quality when it came to their staff, the cleanliness of the building, the admissions department and the great attitudes of those who work there. While this choice is difficult to make for anyone we love, they all did everything they could to make Judy comfortable. She was warm, bathed, fed, entertained and loved. And it showed. I would recommend them any time ... any day. They were wonderful!!

My Grandmother has been in their care for nearly a week and I am truly impressed. The staff is professional and compassionate, endlessly patient and respectful. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Top of the line in my opinion.
