I needed my thesis printed and bound, so I went to Staples. The printed copy I received consisted of 3 different types of the so call "resume" paper. 1 type is thicker (32 lb) without texture, and the other 2 types are thinner (24 lb) with different textures. I went back to the store and ask for a re-print, or refund. The staff said, those 3 types of paper are the same, they are all resume paper. She said, texture does not matter, what is important is the pound of paper. I said, can't you print it on the same resume paper, the one without texture? She responded, no because their resume papers are all mixed up and they don't have enough of just the ones without texture. Ok, so give me a refund. Nope. I asked for the manager, the manager took the staff's side. I went to another Staple, and the staff there said those are clearly 3 different types of paper! Unbelievable! I have a thesis to defend. Printing a thesis should be the least of my worries. And now, I'm more stress about printing an acceptable copy of my thesis than to defend it tomorrow. It's a waste of my time.
