They just finished my 1911 thumb safety. They did a great job and turn around time was two days. The gun looks great and, unlike other gun smiths in town, they actually have parts in stock for a 1911. Plus they cost less to do the work. They seemed to have a friendly staff that is eager to help and courteous. Thanks barlows.
Horrible customer service. Was told a 5-7 business day turn around for 3 guns. They had the guns for 2 months before I took them back. Should have read the other reviews. They even told me that a barrel was in the process of being threaded, yet they were able to grab it right off the bat when I finally got sick of the lies.

Not focused on customer satisfaction, seem to cater to law enforcrment crowd. Maybe I should have relayed my past experience. Had simple work performed on two occasions, would have taken any accomplished smith less than 1 hour. First time never notified work was completed, five months was not enough time to confirm zero at a local range, Second time never bothered to call me when a 15 minute job was complete. You would probably get better service sending your gun to manufacturer. Always reluctant to offer times on even the simplest of jobs. If time is important, go elsewhere.

I explained in detail the work to be preformed to a member of the staff for barrel threading including measurements and was given a time frame of 4-6 weeks. Close to three months latter I was told the would not work on this firearm do to parts availability, that it was a mistake to accept it, that the needed the specifications (supplied) and that they would have told me sooner but the gun was misplaced!
They lied I gave the the specifications, (supplied direct from AAC) parts are available directly from the manufacturer to anyone (Kahr). Poor feedback and responsiveness through out would not take messages for the gun smith. I give this company an F-
Its been over 2 years in the making, for this project. I fitted a T9 barrel by hand with a draw file 40 + hours. Bought the suppressor while in Iraq. Had a very slow transfer between dealers for the suppressor. It took me a while to decide to fit the barrel myself after no one would take the project. Now this, I bought the suppressor almost two years ago still not round one through it!
Any one make a recommendation for smith?
