Absolutely love, love, love this campground! Have been going there for a few years now and it has only gotten better. The new owners Bill and Shelby are wonderful, very customer focused and helpful. There is a lot to do from special activities to everyday activities, horse shoes, swimming pool, game room, play grounds, basketball hoops.... I recommend this campground to anyone who wants to have a nice stay. I will keep going back for sure!!!!

This campground is the best I have ever stayed at. My whole family visits when we stay here. Lots of things to do and you feel like your camping!!!!!!! With all the trees and how it is back in off the road. My family loves the duck race, afternoon bingo, poker run etc. We

have camped in many of states and there is no better campground to us!!!

I went to this campground and ...

I went to this campground and would never, ever go back. We were treated horribly by the owners/staff. We were there (on our own campsite that we paid for) as well as with friends who had a permanent site at this campground. Our friends were hassled (in a VERY unfriendly/combative way) as to why they had guests there that they didn't pay for. When the owner was told (in a POLITE way) that we had our own campsite, there was no apology. We had to leave the "family" dance because the owner came up to us and told us that our children had to stop dancing because they were a "nuisance". My kids were 5 and 7 at the time and were the ONLY people on the "dancefloor". They were not running around or being rude to others. We left the "dance" because of how we were treated. Our friends were approached yet again about why they didn't pay for us. (apparently the owners have short term memory loss) This was the most UNfriendly "family" campground that I have ever been too and I tell everyone not to go there. Our friends pulled their camper out because of the years of horrible treatment they had gotten from the owners. Try somewhere else in PA....anywhere is better than here!!

A Good Campground for Groups

Please don't believe the terrible reviews about this campground. After camping there with our camping club, I have to say that it was a very enjoyable experience. The campground owners were quite friendly and cooperative. Whenever we needed anything (such as extra tables) they quickly got us what we needed.

The only major complaint that I heard concerned the showers. (I was told they cost 25 cents per minute to use and needed a good cleaning.)

Some people did not like the gravel sites in the group area but I think they worked out fine. When it rained, the gravel drained quickly and there was no mud. The campground had lots of activities including pony rides, bingo, hay rides and music. Peaceful Valley also has a very nice heated swimming pool, a camp store and, for the kids, a playground.

I have stayed in some other campgrounds that truly were TERRIBLE but that description does not fit Peaceful Valley. All in all, Peaceful Valley is a nice campground and we enjoyed our stay there very, very much.

Overall
Family Camping at its BEST

What is wrong with those people giving this camp ground a bad review?

My family and I LOVE this campground, grandchildren can't wait to come and visit, NOT us but the campground, they can't wait to go play on the swings, or swim in the new pool may I add here, Candy Bar Bingo over me any day. Fishing in the pond. I know where I rate and its below the campground's rating of excellant.

Rubber Ducky races, easter egg hunts, christmas in July, horse races, penny carnivals, what more could a grandchild ask for. Well maybe a hug or two if they fall down. Hay wagin rides pulled by Bob and Bud, NOT a tractor.

We have never seen or heard about the owner getting into some ones face, but I take it from that report that one of her children did something wrong and the owner wentt to correct it so it wouldn't happen again and she didn't like it.

Maybe she shouldn't come back with her family, she sounds like a trouble maker. Thats too bad because her children would of really liked it here.

The new owners have put in a bigger Kitchen so they have breakfast, lunch and supper..lots of places to sit and eat and the store has been remolded. I hate that place (not really) always costing me money there's lots of stuff to buy. Can't leave the area with the grandchildren unless we stop in there for ice cream or candy.

Just had to add my two cents here.

Best Around

From the reviews that have been put on here from the previous 4 people you can tell that SOMEONE has put them up to the slandering of a VERY NICE campground.

If you would come to the campground and see for your self, you would notice right away the Freindlyness of this Campground, Yes the Owner will talk to you if you and your group have been loud and annoying your fellow campers. ESP. if it is after quiet hours, which I am sure that the people that have written the previous reviews are the ones that are constantly being told to keep in down. Yes he will come out of the woods (trees) DUH trees everywhere here. and he does walk around at different hours for YOUR protection not because he wants to be a peeping Tom.

Apparently its the ones that have been too loud that think that he is a peeping Tom.

You couldn't ask for a nicer couple to run a place..All the work and dedication that has went into improving this campground is greatly appreciated by 98 percent of the permanent campers here. The other 2 percent are the ones that are not following the rules and regulations and are being reminded of the rules. These are the ones that are slandering the campground. But you'll have this at all campgrounds.

The person that has instagated the slander has been refused a renewal of her contract, and so she has been trying every thing to cause trouble for the ones that are still here. Look at the dates of the reveiws funny how there wasn't one put on here before this lady was asked to leave.

Water here is great.. State wouldn't let the campground be open with less that quailty water. If those people have such awful water they should try changing there filters on the trailers,( they probably don't even know they have filters to change.)

As far as the bath house.. Yes every once in a while toilets get clogged, you know that even at your own house, people are not watching their children and this is how this is happening. Showers have had to have meters put on them since some of these same children have been leaving the water run in the sinks and showers so the hot water tanks have been drained, but that has been corrected.

You can not expect to come into a Family Campground and sit from 11 am to 1:30-2:00 in the morning drinking your beer and not have the owner say something to you about the noise that is coming from your campsite.

There are plenty of activities here for the children and the adults, if you par take in them, but you must have your beer can covered or leave it at your campsite, this is what they are complaining about. They can't drink and play at the same time.

Dances almost evey weekend, children must be attended by an adult. unless over the age of 14

Swimming.. brand new pool, children must be accompied by an adult..unless over the age of 12

The person: ben217: said that the owner is unprofessional and ignorant.. She is up set that one of her children was caught doing something that wasn't permitted ,by climbing the fence around the pool, and spitting on people. While she was sitting at her campsite drinking. So she was called out for it.

The pond is not stagnent children are catching fish there every day, fresh water runs in from one in of the pond, runs out the run end over a waterfall, running water does not go stagnat. and again the water is at state standards or above as far as drinking water goes.

The person that wrote about the peeping Tom. The owner goes around checking on the campers to make sure that they are not be annoying to their neigbors. he has to come out of tress, hes's got 60 acres of them.

This campground is NUMBER 1 in 98 % of the campers here, I consider that a very high rating. The other 2% like I said are the drinkers that don't like to be told to quiet down.

Stay away from this campground

The other two posts couldn't be more accurate. The owners DO NOT have any respect for their customers, they are UNPROFESSIONAL and ARROGANT. The campground is dirty, smells like sewer and the water is yellow with a very appalling smell. I would not allow my children to shower in the bathhouse because of the condition it was in. There are several unfinished projects all over the campground resulting in unsafe conditions for children to stumble onto (wood pile by the store with broken glass and rusty nails sticking out of the wood). Seems like the owners should worry about fixing/cleaning the amenities (water/bathhouse/junk piles) before they build new sites . . . . hmm . . . . their priorities may be out of wack here, lets build more sites to generate more income before they take care of what they already have. Seems to me like taking care of what you already have will keep customers coming back. Just a thought. My family will not return.
