Good Food BUT bad services. Not going back. I think they used to be good and now they are going down. Go to Utsav in Vernon, CT. Food and Service both good.

Indian Food at it's best!

My fiance and I go here all the time. The food is incomparable to any I've tried while traveling. If you can't make up your mind about one of the amazing dishes they have, just ask the manager for help. Tell him what kind of meat/vegetable you like and wether you want spicy or not and he'll come up with an amazing dish for you.
If it's your first time trying Indian food, go here. You'll be pleasantly surprised how much culture this one of a kind place has to offer not only in it's fo

I highly recommend the Rogan Jash if you like lamb or the Chicken Tikka Punjabi if you prefer chicken.

not friendly

I brought my friend to Pintu's lunch buffet to try something different. I kept an opened mind and a good attitude, but the man who should have greeted us and seated us was truly terrible. He walked part way towards us and just pointed in the direction he wanted us to sit. After we guessed which table he wanted us to sit at, he came over and mumbled something. I asked my friend if he said help yourself. When she asked him if we should just start in at the buffet he acted as if to s...view moreay of course. The food did not have a large selection but it was a treat to us because it was something new and different. The fritters although tasty were quite greasy. I'm glad I went just to try it, but there were few people there and a family restaurant should feel more inviting. I felt as though I was disturbing our greeter just by walking in the door to give him money. If he is the owner, he needs to stay in the back of the house, if a relative, fire him. He was careless about your success and showed it openly. Had they been more friendly, I might go back to try other things. Now I'll just go to one of the 200 other restaurants who may be happy to have my money.view less

The Best Indian Food in America

Pintu is a very talented chef. He makes the best paneer marsala. The rice is so delicious and fragrant. The samosas and pakoras are fantastic with the tamarind sauce. The chutneys are great and there is so much good food, you will not be disappointed. Guarantee satisfaction!

Pintus Indian Restaurant

Pintus': Hands down, THEE best Indian food I've ever had. I am from NYC where there is much culture and competition in terms of restaurants/food. You know Pintu has got to be doing *something* right, when his patrons are predominantly Indian. Pintu himself is a workhorse and puts copious amounts of TLC in to his restaurant and food. He is the owner, but you will often find him running around the restaurant, making sure the patrons are satisfied-offering free samples of Indian beer and...view more appetizers when he can. His staff is pleasant and timely. Sometimes on weekends there is a little bit of a wait, but this is because the restaurant gets so busy because of it's wonderful food (not because of the staff doing a poor job)\r
\r
The Tika Punjabi, Chicken Misala and Korma Chicken are fantastic, tender and prepared exactly to the patron's liking. He has quite a selection of Indian beer(and a pretty large selection of wine as well, but not ""Indian"" wine) The house Pinot Grigio is extremely smooth. \r
5 stars, for sure. \r

LONG WAIT, NO FOOD

Went there for a birthday, 6 adults and 3 kids. Had called ahead to reserve. Waited for 45 min and then were served only bread/naan. Finally after waiting for 1 hour 15 min, when people arriving after us had been served, spoke with the management. There was no apology. Walked out of the place extremely hungry and upset. Do not know if this happened if 'Pintu' the owner was not there( food was good when we had gone once earlier). However, would never go there again.
