Established in 1967Started in 1967 by German immigrants, Margarete Scharf and her husband Karl. Scharf's has become a must visit establishment. Their son, Jerry Scharf and his family continue this rich tradition today. Although things got very tough in the first half of 2012, a huge outpouring of support has kept Scharf's going today. An article in the Buffalo News and several news stories on TV, helped to stir a revival. (Thank you all very much for your support since.) We have always had an Oktoberfest to celebrate our anniversary in business. It has grown from a one night event in 1968 to a 6 week celebration (8 weeks this year) featuring Live German Music and plenty of Gemtlichkeit. Scharf's also has monthly German nights with live music. Prizes have been known to be given as well. We also have a facebook page where specials can be found.

Services/Products

The best in home-cooked German and American food. We also serve a great fish fry and other seafood, vegetarian choices and offer a kids menu. We have 5Deutsch Biers on tap and several more in bottles as well as the usual Domestic and Canadian brews. We also offer 3 Wines from there and several others. Scharf's has a full liquor license. We bottle our home-made German House Salad Dressing. We offer catering for private parties and office parties. In-house parties are also welcome. Potato Pancakes are our claim to fame, hand-grated and mixed on site, using graters imported from the old country. Rouladen, Sauerbraten, and Schnitzels are on the menu, besides Roast Duck and Pork. On the American side, we have Roast Beef (on weck or dinner), Fried Chicken, Pork Chops and more. Our fish can be served breaded, battered or broiled. We also have Yellow Pike!
