        Jon R. Daniel Sr. Owner - Licensed Funeral Director - Licensed Embalmer - Licensed Insurance pre-need counselor Jon is a fourth generation Funeral Director with over 30 years experience in the funeral profession. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to share a little bit about myself with you. At 51 years of age, my life has been devoted to the funeral profession and those family’s that we’ve served over the years. California is such a melting pot of different cultures that these families have come from a vast array of religious and ethnic backgrounds. However, there’s so much more about me that I’d like to share with you. I was born into the funeral profession in St. Cloud, Minnesota to a German/Catholic family. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t gone to Church as much as I should, and Fr. Ho from Our Lady Of Grace will attest to that, but my heart is, and will always be, Catholic. We moved to West Sacramento in 1979 and I’ve lived here ever since. The “small town” feeling here is what I grew up with in the Midwest and I don’t intend to ever move. I love being able to drive an hour and a half West to get to the ocean, or the same distance East and be in the middle of the mountains. Where else can you do that! My family is the heart and soul of my being. I’ve been married to my wife Esther (she goes by Tina) since September 4th of 1982. I can hardly believe it’s been over 26 years now. Time has flown by and I love her deeply. She has not only blessed me with her love and devotion over those years, but has given us two beautiful children, Jon Roger Daniel, Jr, who is now 24, and Cecilia Judson Daniel, now 21. We’re also pet lovers. We have two dogs, a Whippit named Tigger, and a yellow lab, named Reno. Both of whom keep us very busy! I also enjoy water-skiing, golfing, hiking, bowling, camping, football (go 49er’s) and, of course, spending time with my family.
