On 05 Jan 2013 I purchased a Sig Sauer rifle from Keith's at the gun show in Columbia, MO. The salesperson in the booth said he did not have the box, owner's manual, other documentation, lock, etc. I bought the rifle anyway. Yesterday, I called Sig Sauer USA in New Hampshire to ask if they could send me an owner's manual, safety instructions, lock, etc., documentation that typically comes with all equipment. The man I spoke to said that from the serial number, it was an older model and the serial number was not in his database.
I paid a handsome price for the rifle, was told it was "NEW" and never fired. Stupid me did not remove the tie-wrap that was through the chamber to look inside the chamber until after my conversation with the rep at Sig Sauer.
I have tried calling the phone number on the business card the gentleman gave me at the show but it rings and rings and finally disconnects. I sent an email to the email address on the card and it bounced back.
I should have known better but I also trusted the man in the booth. For now I am out a considerable sum of money. To each of you, "BUYER BEWARE".
